Nickel Creek is good

16 Horsepower
Woven Hand

That's the beginning and end of bluegrass, in my eyes. They have a lot of country and goth (!) elements as well, but I think a bluegrass listener would enjoy.

I love bluegrass and old country, but those are not bluegrass bands. those bands are hippie bullshit jam bands. sorry to be the one to break it to ya.

You could say it sort of hillbillyish.

I'm not really into it, I listen to it on the radio sometimes but that's about as far as I go with it. My dad loves it to death though.

well, a good place to start is with the Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe and his band, the Bluegrass Boys (which is where the word "bluegrass" comes from to describe a style of music he and his band invented).
