Oldboy Remake!?

I feel sick.

So does anyone else think that Hollywood is dying? Also, if you have any information that indicates that this is a hoax, please let me know.

for crying out loud, Hollywood is not dying, nor will it begin dying any time soon. They're doing remakes of Japanese movies because people go to see them.

since 1980 there've been around 150 remakes (credit: Box Office Mojo), which seems like a lot, until you consider that there's been over 10,346 movies made since 1980. That means that ~1.5% of the movies since 1980 have been remakes.

there's a Bollywood remake of Oldboy, renamed Zinda in the pipeline. It'll be filmed shot for shot, with dances included.

To be honest, I'd prefer the Bollywood version. At least those are always amusing, if unintentionally.
