Help with a movie
 

I remember watching this movie on HBO; it was some strange dark/sci-fi superhero movie about a guy who finds this helmet or gem..or something (memory is fuzzy)...and when he puts it on...he morphs into this nasty ass alien-metal gear wearing "superhero".

There are a bunch of "bad guys" who want the suit/gem (whatever)....and most of the movie takes place on a spaceship with the guy trying to save some girl he loves because they captured her.


I could be very off..i barely remember this, but i remember it was pretty kool..graphic and dark....

but i bet if i watched it now, it would be totally different. I just remember really enjoying it back then. (8 years ago?)

The Guyver?

Reminds me of a film called Death Machine. It was set in a skyscraper filled with futuristic odds n sods one of which is a superhard killing machine. Some burglars break in and get trapped with this thing and stumble across a hi-tech suit of armour(ish) and when worn the person becomes a hard as fuck hero who kicks death machine ass. Good film but not sure if its the one your thinking of
