3d

A while back, I read something about a certain company planning to release a lot of the old 3d films from the 60's and 70's on dvd, selling packages with nice, solid pairs of 3d shades.
Yknow, I mean those old crappy horror/sci-fi films...however, I've not seen or heard anything since.
Does anybody -
a: Have any idea what I'm talking about?
b: Have any further information?

Also, here's one for those that have no idea what the fuck I'm talking about - D'you think that if you were to invert a pair of 3d glasses, the effect would be the same, or do you think they only work "right way 'round"?
I mean, I've never kept any cinema provided pairs of the glasses long enough to have collected any for comparison to eachother...like, are they
ALWAYS red on the (your) left lense?

I don't know what the fuck you're talking about(sounds like a ok idea though).

About the glasses as far as I know they only work 'right way 'round' and everytime I've seen an Imax film they've been red on the left can't say if they all are.

Depends on how the anaglyph is set up, but usually the red lens goes on the left eye, and the blue on the right eye.

I never knew or thought that the colors had anything to do with.

I got this Shreck 3D thing with my Shreck DVD, and it came with the glasses.....I tried them backwards, and they did NOT have the same effect :)

If you want to know more about different kinds of 3D images, and how they work, check this out, guys--it's really, really neat. This fellow has put up a whole website devoted to the craft, and it explains everything very nicely. AND NOT ONLY THAT, but he's created a FREE anaglyph-making program called "Anaglyph Maker" which allows you to take your own digital camera images, for example, and turn them into 3D views in a few simple steps. It's so easy, even I was able to do it! Aw, it's fun, guys! Yoo gotta doo it!
