There was this old cartoon...
I don't know why, but I have the idea this cartoon I'm thinking of was called "shazam", even though when I look up the cartoon, it appears that I am wrong.
Shazam is much like the comics from what the plot describes, a young guy called Billy Batson that says the word "shazam", and turns into a guy called "captain marvel", big ol' lightening bolt on his chest. Now that being the case...I'm confused. The cartoon I am thinking of looked as though it was made in the late 70's, maybe early 80's, and it was about two kids (MAYBE brother and sister) that each wore a ring, each of those rings was some kind of symbol split in half, when they were in trouble or whatever, they'd put the two "half" rings together, and some manner of guardian would appear...and I SWEAR I remember them saying "shazam", or some word like that. So, if shazam isn't this, then what the hell is it? PS: Defenders of the Earth was the shit! - B |
Damn!!! I can picture that cartoon....I just can't remember the name....I used to watch it...

Could it be....

So...was there two versions of the cartoon or something?
Which was the one with the 2 halved rings? During my research, I've found that apparently there was a live tv show of shazam too...but don't think I ever saw that...probably just as well. I DO, however, remember a live "the flash" tv show, and some movies...haha, that was funny. All the same, back on track...can anyone figure this "shazam" cartoon deal out? |
Mystery solved.
It was "arabian nights". There WAS two kids with rings, and they summoned a genie called "shazzan", hence my confusion. Pictured Below: |
I guess this thread is ready to be deleted then.
