Cure is quite good actually. It is a serial killer film, although not exactly in the way you would expect. The director, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, is quite talented; many believe him to be the next great Japanese filmmaker. It's definitely worth watching.

could be better
sometimes boring |
It's a very good movie with an interesting character (and damn good performance) in Mamiya, but it's all set-up and foreshadowing, no explanation.
If you want to see a GREAT movie that shows that Kiyoshi Kurosawa is the best director in Japan right now (and one of the best directors in the world), find a copy of Kaïro. Easily one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. |

Thereīs only 1 problem with that movie and thatīs the locations. You have seriously no fucking idea where the persons are most of the movie. Seemed to me like the director didnīt bother to explain. Wouldnīt exactly call that GREAT direction. But other than that the movie was great. Had 1 or 2 very creepy moments.:) |
