Hammer vs. Amicus

I'm a huge fan of the old British stuff. Who do you think was the better studio of the time, Hammer or Amicus? Hammer definately put out way more than Amicus, but quality wise who's better?

hammer did better films (but they also did some stinkers)

I definitely say Hammer kicked ass

The Carmilla based stuff they did is awesome. And Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell. Yeah, Ingrid Pitt, too. But the lady is no Barbara Steele.
