Guess what folks?

I just found out today that the helpdesk position i am still technically a part of is going to be outsourced.


On top of that, the company has opened a couple of new web developer positions.

They are being outsourced too.

So guess what that means?

Vod wont be bitching about work any more, because pretty soon, i wont be working here anymore!!!!!


What else does that mean? Well, i havent quite been here 4 years (i will be missing my 4 year mark), so that figures to 60 days (standard severance) plus 2 weeks for every full year, so 3 and a half months of paid vacation!

And i make between 45 and 50 grand a year now, so that should be a healthy chunk of change :D

AND, I am already looking feverishly for a new job (have been pretty hardcore for about 3 weeks now)


I hope i can find something relatively quickly, so this will be pure bonus, but soooo much pressure is off. :)

I will probably work on scaredyet.net full time for a while (while im in between jobs) and ytake the time to lean some new technologies like PHP, JSP, cold fusion, Flash, so on.

I am so fucking thrilled right now, i could scream. AND NO PUNCHING NECESARRY!

The asshole who pissed me off yesterday really doesnt matter,.

Look in Charlotte NC!!!!! Hell, I'll help you if you decide to go south.

Sorry, I just need more people to hang out with on a semi regular basis.

Wouldnt want to fuck myself out of the severance because i was an asshole and got fired instead of laid off. OH, and this is apparently a secret within the company, so i guess its a good thing i never said which one i work for ;)

Seriosly, if i ever ended up taking a fast food job, it would be for the same reason kevin spacey took it in American Beauty, a total fuck off job.

I think i would delight in telling people to wait their fucking turn :D

next thing we'll start hearing about is how the lousy shift manager does nothing all day - and Vod has to work the drive through - even though he was hired to build the burgers :)
