Lawsuit

What does everyone think about George Lutz filing a lawsuit over the remake of The Amityville Horror?

In case anyone missed it, its on the news section of HDC.

HDC has other sections besides the forum?!?!?!?

George Lutz is a dick just out for a buck.....in other words....red blooded American:)

He already owns the rights to the Amityville story between certain dates. The rest he sold off while supposedly "supervising" on the new film. Give it up already.

On the one hand, yeah, I'd be upset if I were unjustifiably portrayed as a homicidal maniac if I weren't one.

(But since I am one. . . . )

On the other hand, I thought his original story about living in a haunted house (as reported in the Jay Anson book) was a bunch of crapola. It's like he's suing because they didn't portray his lie in the right way.

You actually went on a tour of 123 Ocean Avenue? I thought that was still a private residence.

The address has been changed and the spooky looking windows have been removed by new owners.

I really find it hard to believe that Lutz and his family would leave that house and all their belongings if something didnt really happen there.

I have read the book and seen most of the films, there are some things in Lutzs account of what had happened that dont add up, but from all the interviews that I have read with the man, he didnt strike me as the kind of guy that was looking to make a buck off his personal tragedies.

Then again he could just be another money hungry jagoff who pulled one of the hugest hoaxes on the american public.
