Shitty New Cover Art

God some of the new versions suck! They should've used the original art in so many cases. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover ect but when I buy I film I love the artwork is just as important as the film itself.

One version I thought completley sucked was TCM2:

NEW (Terrible):

OLD (Way cooler - a total classic cover):

seen many examples of this....often they change cover when they release a old film on dvd......(exist on vhs with another cover)....but sometimes the new cover is better...soooo

Some covers never change cuz there classics. i.e. Scarface

If a dvd has been given the 'special edition' treatment, then I expect to get an improved cover.

if there's more than one DVD of it out, they should do different covers so's to tell them apart. Like, REALLY different. They should do that with Widescreen and "Full"frame, too.

Criterion always did that - they usually took a still from a part of the movie and cropped it ... always different from the origional cover art
