Drunk Bites off Woman’s Finger in Railroad Rescue

Russia - After finding two drunk men sleeping on railway tracks two women in South Russia’s Tambov region tried to drag them to safety. Their good deed did not go without a reward — one of the drunks bit off the finger of one of the women.

The story, reported by Russia’s Interfax news agency contained some curious facts. The agency quoted the press service of the local transport police as the source of the information.

For a start, the policemen said that two couples were “strolling” along a railway line when they noticed two drunk men sleeping on the tracks. The two women tried to wake the drunks and tell them that it was a dangerous place to sleep. The two men did not wake up and the women tried to drag them off the tracks.

“While resisting, one of the sleeping men bit off a finger of one of the women,” the source said.

The officer said nothing about the reaction of the husbands of the two women.

The source, however, elaborated that the woman had received medical assistance and said that the two drunk men were detained and that a criminal case could be instigated against the offender.

Looks like they bit off more than they could chew!
