OK whats this about Land of the Dead coming out june 21st instead of october? And what does everyone think about NOTLD DVD in color.

Yesterday took me off guard when Butane me called to say Universal was shifting Land of the Dead's release date. My immediate thought was that the studio would push it further back to, say, early '06. That's just the cynic in me. But I didn't think they'd move it months forward!

Don't know what I'm talkin' about? Here's the skinny. According to Universal's website, George A. Romero's Land of the Dead is now slated for a June 24th release. Not its original date in October. Was it a typo on some Universal web geek's behalf?

Not a chance.

A few phone calls were made yesterday on behalf of The Horror Channel, and we received official word from a incredibly reliable inside source who didn't wish to be named that Land is indeed coming out in June. This source also got a glimpse of the film and said things are shaping up VERY nice and the studio is VERY pleased. With the release date now looming, George is working overtime to get the film completed. Scoring the film is expected to happen soon.

as for the NOTLD dvd in color, the orginal is still in black and white i think( if not its still cool), or you could just be thinking of the savian remake( which was bad ass too).
