Mothman Question?

It claims to be "Based on True Events"....how much of this is actually true? Or is it just bullshit marketing like TCM?

I think the truth is there was a major accident in a town (might not have been a bridge) but apparently a bunch of people said it was prophecized by "something" that they saw.

But even that might not be true.

Actually there were more sightings then what the movie portrayed. I had a whole thing on it I got from a site awhile ago. They kind of changed things around for the movie's sake.

There were alot of very credible people who witnessed this, so I tend to believe that something was there, what I am not sure.

Also, on the same site, was another story connected to the same place about an Native American man who helped the white people settle things with the Indians, and was killed. He had also left a curse on the area. I'll nhave to find it again, I forget the whole story.

There is a lot of info and a huge amount of sightings. The collaspe of the silver brigde was blamed on him. there is picture taken of a stange birdlike figure on the brigde the night begfore it collapsed. I cant find it because my google image search is fuked up. John A. Keel the master of sci fi and paranormal acivities did extensive research on the mothman. In the movie "The Mothman Prophecies" richard Gere plays John A. Keel. The movie is rather accurate
