My Pet Rat Pootie

This is my pet rat, Pootie. He likes to watch monster movies and eat potato chips! But he stayed up late one night watching TV, and woke up with the sniffles. Anyway, he wants you all to send him five dollars, so he can pay the rent again.....I mean, so he can buy cold medicine.

Send to:

Pootie

the best pet ever .. too bad they only have a 3 year life span .. or i'd still have one

Vodstok 02-09-2005 05:56 AM

Shut up about the life span.... i have had mine fo rover a year, but they will live forever, godammit. FOREVER!

I seriously love my rats, possibly even more than our dog. Its gonna kill me when they die....

Awwwwww, I love little rats.

Here's a cool rat page for you rat fanciers out there:

http://www.geocities.com/susanlikesrats/cutebody.html

It's true: Some people see a rat, say, in a horror movie, and they scream, "Jeezus! Get that thing away from me!" whereas other people see that same horrible rat, and say, "Awwww cuuute!"

It kill sme when they show rats in movies. They always use the same domesticated norwegian rats we all have as pets (The Graveyard Shift springs to mind as the most recent example i have seen)

There is this horrible squeeking, and the people are usually screaming in terror, meanwhile, when they show the "vicious beasts", they are cleaning themselves, staring, cleaning each other, shewing on something, or doing that cute little lick their chops, i look like im talking thing they do.

it is impossible for me to feel even slightly threatened by them. They dont even bite....

the real rats .. that live in alleys and eat garbage ... are not nice cute cuddly rats .. they're huge and mean as hell ..

Yeah, but they dont use them in movies.

Except for The Bone Collector. Those ones were pretty vicious.

filmmaker2 02-09-2005 06:10 AM

Yeah...a friend of mine went down the wrong alley one night back in the 80's...and these things came leaping out of a dumpster like miniature maniac wolves, he said...they were totally planning of having his ass for dinner, but he outran them. Yes, they chased him.

And then there is that trailer for "The Rats Are Coming, The Werewolves Are Here" which features caged white rats, clearly nibbling on sunflower seeds and suchlike. They look pretty friendly! Wonder what the werewolves were like......

Rats are severely underrated as pets....People have in mind that their diseased vermin, when really they are very clean....They're great pets for kids as well.....Very gentle....I've loved all the rats I've owned.....I used to have one that hung out with me wherever I went (Except work of course)....It would ride around in my shirt pocket.....
