Alone In The Dark

Hey I recently saw the trailer for a movie called "Alone In The Dark." I also heard that it was based on a video game. I don't believe I have ever heard of this movie or game. I just wanted to know if I'm the only one or if this game is the shit, and this movie will be a hit?

Never played the game, but the movie will be shit simply because itz a horror film made in 2005.

I liked the game and will go see the movie. Love the Resident Evil games, same with the movies...so....I'll give it a chance.

The game isn't bad, though Silent Hill it's not. I'll skip the movie since it's directed by the same fucker who make House Of The Dead. And now he's making the Bloodrayne movie! Arrrrrrrgghhhhh!

Alone in the Dark was pretty much the first Survival Horror game ever made, and it remains one of the best. Though I agree; I would live in Silent Hill if I could. Actually, I know that at least the first Alone in the Dark is freeware now, and you can download the full version here:

Unless your OS runs DOS apps well, you're going to need to download DOSBox. Also, some knowledge of the Lovecraftian mythos is strongly recommended.

I'm not usually a fan of game-movie adaptations, especially knowing that it's going to be done by the guy who did House of the Dead, and judging from what I've seen, the movie has nothing to do with the games. But I guess time will tell.
