Need Help With Identifying Movie...
 

Hi -

I saw this preview a while back (I think it was before "Saw."), and apparently I was sort of out of it. Anyway, now I can't remember the name of the movie, and it's driving me crazy. The preview was like this kick-ass woman with really short hair fighting this really big dude who had a different weapon everytime - one time, he had a hatchet, another, a power saw. At the end, the woman took a stick a wrapped barbed wire around it. The Sonic Youth's version of "Superstar" was playing in the background, and I THINK the title was one word...not sure...it's amazing how much I remember about the trailer, and I don't even remember the title of the damn movie. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Did she ambush the guy with said stick? like...in what looks like a shed, or greenhouse or something?
I THINK that there was a point where he was chasing her with what looked like a round buzzsaw type dealie...if we're thinking of the same one,
Sounds kinda like a preview I saw for a movie called
"Haute Tension" (High tension, I think it's a dubbed french film)...maybe?
As I recall, yes, that song was playing during it.
If so, I agree, it looks pretty badass...


The only one word title I can think of, off the top of my head is "Creep", about a chick trapped with some killer guy in a train station, but the rest doesn't sound like what this film was (although, IMO, this one too looks very good.)

Actually, I just "saw" it yesterday...
It's not too bad - has some pretty messed up moments, and high tension scenes throughout...a couple of decent twists, surprisingly enough, not all THAT much gore.
It was a god, solid movie.
I can see why people drew similarities between this movie and se7en. To me, it was like a hybrid of se7en and Phone Booth with maybe just a touch of silence of the lambs...but only kinda.
I'm not gonna rush out and buy the dvd upon it's release, but I was glad to have checked this movie out, and wasn't dissapointed in the least.
