4 Dead And 60 Wounded At Amusement Park
 
4 Girls Die In Tragic Swing Incident At Suzu Park

Lahore: Four school girls were killed and over 60 children critically injured when an electric swing broke away and fell to the ground in Suzo Water Park Saturday.

The police have registered a case under section 302, 324 and 109 against 10 persons under the directives of the chief minister Punjab and arrested five of them in connection with this tragic incident.

Punjab education minister Raja Basharat has announced compensation of 2 Lakh rupees for family of each victim child.

Children from different schools of Lahore went upto Suzu Water Park on a picnic trip. These children belonged to Sidra Public School, Summer Public School and Shaheen Model School. They were seated in a large circular swing partitioned in 12 cabins with each cabin having sitting capacity for 6 to 8 children.

The ill fated children met a tragic fate when the swing broke away and zoomed down to the ground with a big bang killing three girls on the spot and the fourth succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

The victims included Saima, Aamna Tahseen, Sadia and Sidra Baloch.

Over sixty children sustained injuries who were taken to Ghurki hospital immediately. Two girls were shifted to Mayo hospital and two to general hospital in precarious condition. Two children were taken by their parents to Mayo hospital later on their own due to their serious condition.

22 seriously injured children were admitted to Ghurki hospital and the remaining were discharged from hospital after providing first aid.

The children under treatment are 17 from Summer school, 2 from Sidra public school and 2 from Shaheen public model school.
