Horror.com Forums - Talk about horror. - Is it even safe here anymore?

I have to agree with my daughter that this forum just isn't the place to 'expose' kids to this sort of thing...Sure, this place is awash in irrelevance that has absolutely NOTHING to do with horror, and we have come to accept that...BUT, that doesn't change the fact that kids should not have to see this shit...

So tell me now, that "Kids shouldn't be here anyway" or, "If the parents are concerned, they should monitor their kids so that they DON'T see it, or they should not allow their children to visit here"...And to that I will tell you that the love of the horror genre knows NO age boundary...We ALL loved horror as children, and the children should be permitted to participate in 'Horror' discussions, without being subjected to PORN...My children ARE monitored in ALL of their internet activities, as well as any other activity that they participate in...That is why Wicked Lady has "heard about" these pictures, but hasn't actually SEEN them...

If the pictures were in a "Check Out this Dick Picture" thread, it wouldn't be so bad, we could just avoid that thread...BUT, when you truly have no desire to see that shit, and it could be in ANY thread, it makes it difficult to check out the forum AT ALL...

If we DO wish to see those things, I have heard that there ARE porn sites on the internet:rolleyes: ...However, THIS is not one of them...

And thank you, Fluff...Now that you have posted that picture in THIS thread as well...My daughter will not be coming back to it...Sure, YOU see dicks all the time, so it means nothing to you...You have become desensitized, as have the majority of us here...But, would it kill you to have just a LITTLE respect for the 'sexual innocence' of others?...

Wicked Lady has never even SEEN a dick, and I certainly don't feel that this forum is the place that she should witness it for the first time...I can understand the way she feels because I never saw a dick until I was 17 years old...At which point, I started laughing and couldn't stop...My boyfriend at the time seemed a little hurt by my reaction, but I couldn't help it...It was a little shocking to me...as well as funny...It actually made me feel really sorry for you males...I kept thinking, "What a terrible thing to have to deal with...How can they sit down or cross their legs without smashing it?...Wouldn't it hurt when they ran?...and those things hanging off it...ugh...gross"...I had many more thoughts and questions about it, but I think he was getting tired of trying to answer them...And he was also getting pissed off..Kinda killed the 'mood'...oops:D

ANYWAY...My point is...If I thought that a horror forum was the place that my kids would experience their first exposure to a penis, I would have never allowed them to join...And...before anyone points out the fact that there is nudity in SOME horror films (NO, not ALL of them)...I will just inform you now that breasts are nowhere NEAR as offensive as penises...I don't know why...that's just the way it is...

Just one more...For anyone who says "That's the way it is HERE"...My reply is..."It didn't USED to be this way, when I allowed them to join, I don't really think that there is anyone ELSE here who really wants to see these dick pictures (and if there is, they can visit a porn site, no big deal), and just because something has become a certain way...That doesn't mean that it SHOULD be...It's completely innapropriate no matter how you wish to look at or defend it, and it is seriously unappreciated as well....People kill people, too...That doesn't mean they SHOULD:rolleyes:"
