texas chainsaw massacre the truth

i was told years ago that tcm was inspired by a true crime that happend in texas. it was a true crime but in plainfield wisconsin in 1959. the killers name was eddie gein.

when they checed the house out it was almost impossible to walk through the room the smellof filth and decompositionwas overwhelming. first thing they saw was a womens body dangling from the beam upsidedown it had been decapitated split open and gutted. they had stumbled into a death farm. there was a bowl made fome a human skull, lampshades and wastbasket made frome human skin.finally a suit made entirely of human skin.

While it was Eddie Gein (or whatever) the movie is far more entertaining than real life. Yes, it was Wisconsin, and there were no chainsaws. He had a lot of bones and such, but that was because he was a gravedigger and necrophiliac. I believe he admitted to murdering a person or two, but that was about it. No chainsaws, no Texas, no massacres, no weird family...
