I am in total disbelief( family horror)
 

This weekend was supposed to be my annual firearm deerhunt, now I can nock an arrow anytime I want and go deer hunting anytime between October and February but firearm season only comes 3 times a year.

Well I ended up not going,

My boy (who is 3) has had breathing problems his whole life, probably a factor form being born c-section. My daughter had it also but she grew out of it as I am sure he will. So in his case a little cold turns into more serious problems.

My lady was supposed to be home from work but she could not so I decided that I would stay home and take care of him.

HOLY SHIT youd think that I shot the president of MTV. How can you take your weekend trip that you have planned and looked forward to for months and stay home and take care of your ill child?

Its called sacrifice you ASSHOLES (not you the reader) I have my priorities straight do you?

Even my lady is giving me shit about it, what the fuck is up with that? I cannot believe that people are actually acting this way. I guess I should be a real man and tell my son to tough it out, daddy has to go and slay bambis momma. And if you end up in the hospital tough shit.

There will be other deerhunts I am sure of that but I cant help my boy from 300 miles away now can I.

Sorry had to vent.

You chose the preservation of one of your own over dealing death to another.
Wouldn't seem like a hard choice to me. I don't think you should even HEAR what they got to say about it if they think otherwise, even your wife (it's ok to tell a loved one to shut the fuck up if they're clearly wrong.)
You took care of your child that needed you. I'd have done the same. Like you said, plenty of deer...
You made the choice any person of sound morals and personal integrity would, no question about it.

My son has Cystic Fibrosis, so I can relate.........I would have done the same man....Fuck everyone else....

I think the wife was mad because her step father was going also and I wasnt going to be there.

On a lighter note, I sometimes wish I could sell off everything I own and take a vow of poverty and become a hermit.

This is just another example of the many reasons why I love you...I could never wish for a better brother:cool:






BTW...Sorry for being a little out of touch lately...I have SOO much to tell you about some important, recent events...This pentacle never stops working;)
