Cool new horror band - Freudstein

We're a horror obsessed band from the UK and our music is inspired by classic electronic horror film soundtracks.

Dario Argento's favorite band, "The Goblin," is a great source of
inspiration. They were so ahead of their time and in some ways still are with their blend of classic analogue synths and guitars. Their soundtrack to "Suspiria" is probably one of the best soundtracks ever, along with Fabio Frizzi's "City
Of The Living Dead" and Walter Carlos's "Clockwork Orange."

We're not only aficionados of film soundtracks, though. We both love electronic music, particularly the early pioneering work of Walter Carlos and Tomita - it sounds as original today as it did back then. Modern artists on Warp/Rephlex/Mu records are also a favorite, with the AFX Twin, Venetian Snares and Boards of Canada high up on the list. Our music is a hybrid of these two elements, horror and electronica.

'...if Alec Empire scored a few obscure Italian slasher flicks, then they'd undoubtedly sound akin to Freudstein. Shifting from dark AFX Twin / DJ Shadow style sound voyages to techno-metal...'
