You have been watching...

You have been watching the colorized version of NOTLD. Color has been added to the black and white film using computers.

It was done in the early 1990's I think by Turner Entertainment.

Back when colorized films were being made, the job of colorizing paid (supposedly) $10.00 an hour; companies would hire a bunch of computer geeks and pay them 10 bucks an hour to sit at workstations adding color augmentation to the video.

Personally, I enjoy some colorized movies, and I liked this one. I also like the colorized KING KONG.

The green skin of the ghouls in the colorized NOTLD is very convincing and creepy, I think...and some of the gory violence features nice dark red blood.

Sure, no problem.

No problem at all.

By the way, I did some checking, and there are actually TWO colorized versions of this film, one from Turner and one (recent) from Offcolor Films. I have not seen the Offcolor Films version, but I'd like to.
