Pissing Argument Ends In Fatal Stabbing

OSAKA -- A man was fatally stabbed in a park in Sakai, Osaka, on Sunday evening, following an argument that erupted when one of his friends urinated in the park, police said.

The 38-year-old victim, Takayuki Nishio, died after being stabbed in the stomach at about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, police said. Officers arrested a 57-year-old man, Yoshio Maeda, over the stabbing. Maeda faces charges of murder.

Investigators said Nishio was drinking at a park in Sakai with a group of about 10 friends after a game of amateur baseball. Maeda was walking his dog in the area at the time, but got into an argument with Nishio after one of Nishio's friends urinated on him.

Following the argument, Maeda returned home to pick up a knife, then came back to the park and stabbed Nishio in the stomach, police said.
