School is gay

man i have a killer biology test tomorrow and i think it is gonna kick my ass..........wish me luck

btw i know that no one is probably interested in this thread so feel free to hijck it as you see fit:D

Mr. Nash 09-16-2004 08:44 PM

Best of luck. Sounds like you may need it. Go ace it. Try not to crack under the pressure and you'll do fine.

Malicious_Mirth 09-16-2004 08:47 PM

ive been studying all week and i know the shit so well that it hurts.......but my professor is one of those professors who tryies to be as tricky with his question as he can..........i hate that shit......why cant it be like high school....where they give you a study sheet and shit.......man i hate college:mad:

fluffho 09-16-2004 09:03 PM

what sort of bio is it?

it sucks the differeneces between professors. my bio professor back at the university prety much just asked the bold type. gfuckin easy. also, the teests wer cumulative. ud THINK that was harder but no, the same questions ended up being repeated (like he wanted us drilled in the answer.. evolution to be exact)

then i had OTHER professors who woudl ask all the bullshit in the middle. hell i even had a teacher ask the fuckin subtitles underneath the pictures. i mean hell i like those pictures cuz they take up all this room. but then i had to read them shits too!

with that said, one of the questions was 'what does a thumbs up mean in australia' and it turned out to mean 'up yours'

is that true? CHEE?

Hate_Breeder 09-16-2004 09:22 PM

School is gay. I had a quiz in a class i slept in since the beginning of school and i got a 4/6 which is not too bad considering i guessed

Mr. Nash 09-16-2004 09:37 PM

These are the reasons I was homeschooled.

Lucid Dreams 09-16-2004 09:45 PM

schools a bitch....esp my 1 teacher that thinks we're in college....fucking bitch...but ya...good luck on that bio(1 of my worst subjects)

evil_blonde 09-16-2004 09:58 PM

Id definitely agree that school sucks.
Its so boring.
And the maths keeps getting harder. Dumbass questions.

fluffho 09-16-2004 10:45 PM

i will probably be alone on this one. but i actualy liked school

liked HS and like my college now. didnt like my first college at all though.

school was always easy, hmmm funy how the main reason why i dindt like my first college was it WASNT easy (that and it was run INCREDIBLY unprofesionally... but as students we just had to deal with it...)

anyway was fun meetin people and shit, had fun kickin ass in class, and just the fact that learning is fun. yeh, gay. but its true!

evil_blonde 09-16-2004 10:51 PM

I do agree with you on that, I dont really hate school and I have actually quite liked it up until now, meeting new people, having a laugh and stuff but the same old stuff gets a bit boring after awhile.

bloodrayne 09-17-2004 01:05 AM

Good Luck, Mirth...But, I know you won't really need it...You'll do just fine...Come back in here and let us know, when you find out how well you aced it, okay?:)

Malicious_Mirth 09-17-2004 09:12 AM

i agree with fluff on one thing........i really like college.........been here for 3 years now and i am lovin it but some of the hard classes SUCK ASS!!!! hence the title for the thread........

i just got back from my Bio. test and it was WAY easier that i thought it was gonna be..........it was tricky but i studied my ass off and i think that it paid off...grades are gonna be posed later this afternoon..........i will keep you guys posted tho........an thanks alot for all the good wishes and such.........;) :D

Ritualistic 09-17-2004 09:33 AM

lucky bastard........anyways thanks for all the luck guys and i got a B on the test......which i think is pretty good considering how much of a dickhead the prof. is with his tests:D :D

wufong 09-18-2004 01:18 AM

shit first movies are gay now schools are gay. gesh its getting so a man wont be able to bend over to do his shoe laces up with worrying about being rear ended. me thinks i might invest in a non intrusive butt plug.

fluffho 09-18-2004 01:24 AM

sucker. bitching over nothing LOL

actually that just happeend to me. im taking both my cop courses online. some law BS

well my first class, the book is written pretty much just law wise. explains it is all. the quiz is 15 questions and 20 minutes. says 'you will not have time to look up all the answers'. well fuckin a it took me 3 hours to rea 10 pages lOL i was so lazy. but i took the test in 1 minute then checked all my answers in 4:40.

so my OTHER class, the book is written likea novel. kinda like how they would lecture to u. so 20 pages took me like 10 minutes (the hell does that work out?). well the questions werea LOT harder, didnt just focus on law but also 'spirit' of the law and all this other history bullshit. but i was able to look up all the answers, did it in 10 minutes. got 100%

:) WOO WOO!!! i even got to highlight all of the questions so i can study em later. WOO WOO!!

wufong 09-18-2004 01:31 AM

pfft wait till they give a essay question like. two men who kidnap a woman and force her to take them to a atm so they can take her cash. and you have to give a 500 hundred word answer as to why that is a crime against society........ i failed on that.........

Baldi 09-18-2004 02:27 AM

You didn't fail because of the question, you failed because of your answer. Can you post it for us to read? ;)

Malicious_Mirth 09-18-2004 02:29 AM

hahaha great point!!

not sure if ur being serious. but because
1) that woman couldve been anyone
2) we dont live singularly, but as a community. not only is she affected, but her family, the bank, etc...
3) relates to both, but becuase this instills fear on everyone, not to mention when people start doin this type of shit, and are successful, will continue and only get worse from there

Baldi 09-18-2004 02:57 AM

Well, for the record, I would have talked about our freedoms, how our society depends on our freedoms, and how our freedoms define us as a nation. This one persons loss of freedom means we all lose some of our freedoms, and we question the fabric of our society.

But then, I can be geeky sometimes.

fluffho 09-18-2004 03:00 AM

very good answer

from a law point of view was where i was coming from although i didnt elaborate well enough to convey that.

urs is more philosophical, but coulda gone that route as well. actually, i prefer that route. much more leeway (or whatever the hell that word is..)

Baldi 09-18-2004 03:17 AM

Leeway? Sometimes I call it, "you can waffle a lot and say nothing" :D

You were right with the laws - but the laws effect some of our freedoms, limit them. They exist to tell us what we can, and cannot, do. Therefore, they restrict our freedom.

Man, you could talk about that for hours :D

wufong 09-18-2004 03:23 AM

no i was being serious. but i answered with a mixure of both what you and baldi said. a bit on the legal side and on the personal effect it had on the victim.and baldi no i don't have it. even though that part was done by mail, it was a few years ago now. I mainly failed on the wording of the answer.it was in the first lot of modules that they sent out and i didnt really know what was the right thing to write. but the good thing is the ydon't really expect a perfect answer at that time in the course. just looking for some general idea on your thoughts on the matter. yet i still bombed out for not going into enough detail into the matter

yep. but in most cases (havent really read all of the 22 something codes, never will so i cant give even a guess to a %), our freedoms are restricted in exchange for security. you can only drive 25 on neighborhood streets, but that increases safety for the people living there. a good trade off, i think

wufong, i wonder how you bombed it? but you did say it was the wording so maybe thats why. could have the correct meaning but perhaps you didnt convey it quite accurately? hard to say without actually seeing what you wrote.

fluffho 09-18-2004 06:52 PM

"Driving a vehicle in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony, but without gross negligence; or driving a vehicle in the commission of a lawful act which might produce death, in an unlwaful manner, but without gross negligence"

I HAVE BEEN READING THIS TYPE OF SHIT FOR OVER AN HOUR!! aND I STIL HAVE 6 MORE PAGES.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHH

"Driving a vehicle in violation of section........ and in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony, but with gross negligence; or driving a vehicle in violatoin of .... and i the commission of a lawful act whcih might produce death, in an unlawful manner but withou gross negligence"

WTF IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN. ISNT THAT THE SAME THING? CAN SOMEBODY CLUE ME IN? especially the "commission of a lawful act which might produce death" part. SAVE ME SAVE ME SAVE ME

fluffho 09-18-2004 11:03 PM

Time spent: 4 min. 30 sec.

fluffho 09-19-2004 04:02 PM

time for me to do my other cop class! lets see if i can beat my score

well. cant beat 100 so ill try and match it ;) WOO WOO!

hres a question, i guess applies to mirth since hes already out of HS. but arent AP classes in high school a LOT harder than actual college courses? at least it seemed lke it to me (seeing as all the work other AP classes had to do... german AP was bullshit)
