Halloween H2O and Resurrection

what did you all think of these two movies. personallay i really liked them.

bone collector 09-11-2004 12:35 AM

i didnt mind em, but i liked the 4-6 movies

Hate_Breeder 09-11-2004 12:42 AM

Havent seen Resurrection yet but H2O was alright............too short it seemed though..

cheebacheeba 09-11-2004 05:40 AM

They were crap.
h20 was almost over the TOTALLY SHIT line, ressurection pissed on it.
I don't think they should've been able to use the halloween franchise at all...they were NOTHING like, or nowhere near as good as the first few, they lost the "feel", h20 felt like another fucking urban legend...
And ressurection singlehandely made Myers a BITCH.
Halloween is NEVER going to recover, and has been on a downhill slide, getting worse and worse since "curse"...

Sistinas 09-11-2004 08:49 AM

I agree with cheeb, they both sucked.Busta Rhymes+ horror=shitter

youshouldvknown 09-11-2004 09:12 AM

I actually really liked H2O. A lot. It WAS too short, though, and I didn't like how they ignored 4-6, but yeah, I liked it.

Ressurection, on the other hand, was pretty cheesy.. The whole thing about the palm pilot and Dangertainment.. pretty crappy, I thought. I also hated how they ran through the history at the beginning, with the two nurses, and then again with Marvin... that was unnecessary.

IDrinkYourBlood 09-11-2004 10:03 AM

ya i really dissliked busta ryme and the whole dangertainment thing, but other then that it was good.

MichaelMyers 09-11-2004 10:14 AM

Pick your poison.

-->oscam5<-- 09-13-2004 08:14 AM

H20 was the best Halloween imo, since 2, however it wasn't without its problems.
Resurrection sucked really badly though.

Vampyra 09-14-2004 06:58 PM

I didn't care for either of them. And I'm a Myers fan. But the plot was awful...And the whole web cam idea was lame...Halloween 1 and 4-6 was great though I thought

Part 2 is awsome too.

LilMissScareAll 09-14-2004 08:13 PM

I love all the Halloween movies. Except the 3rd one.

Baldi 09-17-2004 01:28 PM

H20 was excellent.

Resurrection is great too - except Busta, who really dragged it down beyond belief. It someone survived despite that, it's a minor miracle.

Ritualistic 09-17-2004 03:19 PM

They were some cool killing scenes in H20 but Resurrection sucked hairy monkey balls..

I still prefer the 1st Halloween

JDMX 10-06-2004 11:00 AM

Utter garbage. Mostly 8. It made a complete mockery of Myers and the story. I'm a big Halloween fan and I couldn't be more dissapointed. I'm not looking forward to Halloween 9 but I'll end up seeing it anyway. We went through a phase that movies had to include rap hits, famous musician/actors, etc. All the crap to try to relate to "modern youth". In my opinion we're wising up and slowly getting out of that so it will be interesting to see what happens in Halloween 9. If Busta Rhymes comes back I'll personally run up to the projection room and cut the film myself.

:D

I_Still_Know! 10-09-2004 09:44 PM

Haha... weird! I started reading this thread at the same time that they started watching Halloween in SCREAM (which is what I have on at the moment).

I LOVED H20!!!

I also think that it was the best Halloween Movie. The scene when Michael is swinging that knife at the kids behind the gate, just missing them... luved it! I was pushed back soooo far in my own seat. I just loved that whole sequence.

gothicvamp1888 10-10-2004 04:43 AM

i enjoyed H20, but as most have said it was over too quickly, i have the original script to H20 and it is ompletely different to the actual movie, especially the ending, altho im a big halloween fan, i think the series died along with donald pleasance, he was a great character, too whiney, but still a good part of the series, halloween 9 has to be good to keep the franchise going strong, but will number 9 be the michael vs pinhead movie? or will they keep with their promise and make 22 halloween movies?

Ninja Moo 10-10-2004 06:11 AM

I'm a huge fan of the Halloween movies, the Original being my all time favorite horror movie period.

1-2 and then 4-6 are great movies.

These last two just .. sort of ignored that 4-6 ever happened and picked up from 2 ... Which pissed me off.

Also, they strayed away from the original feel of the Halloween movies into the modern day scream fest, rapper, bimbo horror flicks that just aren't scary or entertaining at all.

Demonic Faces 10-11-2004 02:26 PM

im a big fan of the halloween movies i liked everyone, even number 3, 1-2 were the best, 4-6 were the storys best movies, h20 and ressurection were good, except for busta, he just sucked

Wolfy 10-12-2004 05:21 AM

You gotta love it

You have gotta love Halloween well except the unfortunate 3rd one O.o what they were thinking I will never know... it did have a comercial in it for the first Halloween movie though :D. The first Halloween rocked Expecially for its time period :D and the rest had the same lasting effect although some of them did have the points where you were like  but Micheal's feirce unbound rage to kill his family and I know some of you would say " yea yea Jason is the same way" but if I heard you say that I would probably rip out your insides show them to you and strangle you with them then feed you to your dog ;) H20 and ressurection were a different story H20 had the factor of a good horror movie because it followed the story and gave it a compleatly new light but Ressurection I was like WTF  they said the whole movie that the whole family was dead after he killed Jamie lee Curtus at the beginning but riddle me this WTF happened to her SON  they like completly just killed him off (of corse not in the movie) and just disregarded him like there was no H20 so unless he was like adopted or something then they compleatly fucked up Ressurection... but other then that I liked the sheer gore in the movie and the suspence wasnt that bad eather that and it had Busta Rimes  if you hate this message post against it please I need something to defend :D see you

_Leatha_Face_ 10-12-2004 07:11 AM

not gonna write a book on it but, H2O was decent , but ressurection was pure shit

Ninja Moo 10-12-2004 07:17 AM

The only reason she had a son was because H20 decided out of nowhere to give her one ...

What ever happened to the grandkid? Remember, she had a daughter before in the series who had a baby ..

Beginning with H20 they screwed up the series by forgetting important plot points and making up new ones.

_Leatha_Face_ 10-12-2004 07:19 AM

i thought we were suppose to have a new halloween coming out about now?

EXTR3MIST 10-12-2004 02:16 PM

Terrible, the both of them.

If the sequels to the classics will just not stop even into double figures, then we need more than hip casting, in-jokes and homages to the originals (which is all H20 & RESURRECTION are) to make them really work.

For HALLOWEEN sequels, see 2 (Rick Rosenthal is no Carpenter, but apes his style really well), 3 (head-rippingly good stuff - dig those awful masks) and 4 (surprisingly scary stuff, when Myers was still creepy as hell)

he has a picture on the wall of laurie's room

The Dark Shape 10-13-2004 05:11 PM

H20 was a very good movie. JLC's return was gold, but Resurrection was terrible. It had absolutely nothing to do with Michael killing his family and Busta Rhymes just stunk up the joint.

Halloween 9 is still in the early stages of production. There has been no "official" news, but there's about a million different rumors spreading on the internet.

Wolfy 10-14-2004 06:05 AM

Thanks ^_^

Thanks massacre man for trying to insult me :D (I think O.o) and failing. Yes I do have posters on my wall of every single one of the Halloween movies a couple Friday the 13 posters and night of the living dead. What can I say I love my horror movies. Well anyway ... Yes there has been many rumors about another movie coming out in the next 2 years but unfortunately I think they need to let dead dogs lie.. they are beginning to kill the whole movie like they do with all other movies of the genre take silence of the lambs... GREAT movie and yes it was based on a book but they destroyed the movie series by making Red Dragon and Hannible same goes for the Friday the 13 movies ( though I really never liked those) and so many others .. but there have been many rumors of another movie coming out sometime in 06 but nothing official

talk to you all later and remember we all have a little killer in us ALL :D

thehalk 10-18-2004 04:30 PM

i love 4,5,an6 H20 was pretty good but i didnt really like ressurection

Wolfy 10-19-2004 05:40 AM

yea

Yea Ressurection sucked big time I did like Jamie lee Curtus's poetic exit though it just had that certain something... though it was stuped that after all these years all she got was that little fight sequence then death... I'm pretty sure they just got tired of following the same plot and decided to go in a crappier new direction... or Jamie just got tired of Playing in the Halloween movies with her acting career taking off again :D but oh well we still have the Memories :( so see you all later and "Trick or Treat Mother F#@!@%

EXTR3MIST 10-20-2004 04:51 AM

Here's an idea - for the next Halloween movie, how about an Invasion of the Body Snatchers-type theme with insectile overtones and not a Bill Shatner mask in sight?

It's a winner!

EvilEd 10-23-2004 02:13 AM

I really dug these movies...quite good after the crap between 3-6...good god were those terrible! I don't even count those. The only ones that are real Halloween movies to me are the ones with Jamie Lee.

Wolfy 10-26-2004 06:11 AM

I kinda have to agree and I kinda have to disagree...the ones with Jamie lee were all good but the ones without her were fine too she is only one actor in a whole team...as long as micheal is there they usually all have the same effect ...usually and we all cant forget that ressurection had Jamie lee in it and it sucked big donkey testicles  so you cant say ALL movies with he in it were good

ttfn for now

TheGrudgeSucks 10-26-2004 06:18 AM

I didn't mind H20. It was a nice change of pace to see michael myers in a stylistic, fast-paced film for a change. I don't think I'd want it all the time. But, once was cool. The mask was all wrong though.

As for Resurrection...all the film should've burned up along with the house in the end. That movie's a worthless piece of crap. Being a cookoo michael myers fan, I own it anyway. But, it's strictly reserved for pointing and giggling sessions when totally inebriated.

There was a 3rd Halloween movie? I herd nothing about this. Does it come out in 2005 or something?

I actually liked the movies. H20 was good, the ending had a good twist. I really liked Rusurrection, though it completely loses it's previous goodness. Michael wasn't nearly as dark enough. The plot sucked. Busting rymes and Horror may work for Freddy here and there, but not for Halloween. Please, for all the directors out there, STOP FUCKIN' UP HALLOWEEN, BITCHES! They keep making the movie something that it's not. Why change perfection? Halloween was a great movie but they just had to make it stupid in a few films. This is why we can never have any perfectly great Horror films. Stupid directors. I mean... Alien Vs. Predator rated PG-13?! That pissed me off. How can they take two maniac alien, who's ALL previous films were rated R, make them fight, and expect to keep it at the PG 13 level? Bad directors.
