Your first horror movie that you watched?

Mine was Nightmare On Elm Street. Don't remember seeing it, but it came out the year I was born, and my parents are horror fans, so I'm sure I did.

Dracula, I think

Or Frankenstien meets The Wolfman

My parents used to be horror fans, we had these as long as I can remember.

Nightmare on Elm Street 2. I remember watching the beginning scene with the bus like it was yesterday. One of my favorites still.

The Abomnible Dr. Phibes with vincent price i think followed closely by poltergiest. boyh gave me nightmares for years since i9 lived in the basement. i was like 4 when i saw them and poltergiest my dad took me to in the theatre. I still remember the night I woke up from zombies pulling me through the floor.

i slept at a friends house and his dad had rented us return of the living dead and halloween 3. my parents had never let me rent any horror movies (in fact, we didn't even have a vcr) so this was quite a treat. twenty years later i realize why everyone hates H3 so much but it's still one of my favs cause it was my first.

bloodrayne 08-29-2004 04:32 AM

Lots of old black and white classics on television...But, the first one 'out' was at the drive-in...The movie was CARRIE...I was 10 years old...I distinctly remember that I was in the floorboard much of the time, and when the hand came out of the grave at the end, I almost had a heart attack!...Oh, to be young...I would LOVE to be scared like that again...

allmykids 08-29-2004 07:42 AM

Lots of the old black and whites , Dracula and so on. But the first at a theater was BUTCHER, BAKER, NIGHTMARE MAKER. I was 15.

MichaelMyers 08-29-2004 08:00 AM

NOTLD I believe.

newb 08-29-2004 09:06 AM

I'm sure it was either Frankenstein or The Wolfman. But the one I remember vividly would be "TROG" from 1970.
