This movie does look good. And hopefully it will bring Lions Gate Films back the respect of the audience that hated Open Water.
It's going to be hard for me to watch this movie and think, "Hey, that's the guy from Robin Hood: Men In Tights!" Hopefully I'll see his character rather than himself as the actor. I haven't seen him do movies in a real long time. And the cast looks awesome.
The trailer reminds me so much of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though. Maybe it's the sound of the camera taking the pictures...

I can't wait to see this movie. It looks very dark compared to the recent horror movie releasings.

I hear really good things about this movie, I just hope that they're true. I saw the preview for it before I watched the new exorcist movie. Looks kind of feardotcom-ish but with a better killer. I personally detested Fear Dot Com, but I also love slasher movies and Saw looks to be one. Let us hope that the Jigsaw killer is good enough to bring back the slasher genre. This movie has potential, let's just hope it doesn't fuck up.

Yeah Joker, I saw it...actually looks pretty good, no doubt there's gonna be some fucked up moments of "they won't, will they?" throughout.
After seeing the trailer, I would say this is one film I'm actually gonna make the effort to see a non-pirated screening of - that says a lot.
Don't much give a fuck who's in it or not in it, looks like an interesting concept, and for some people, that's actually enough, believe it or not...:rolleyes:

i saw the first trailer and it sucked, but the new one really took me back on my initial reaction, looks like a sweetass slasher, and i can't wait to see it, and it's also good to see Danny Glover back.

Slasher or not, its something new in the horror genra for quit some time (by something new i mean something ORIGINAL)

Ive seen this new movie heres my review:

Im going to start by writing about what i didnt like about this film first so that the review will end on a good note. Basically i think re-casting the character of Dr Lawrence would have been
a good idea, his acting was hard to believe. Apart from that and some other un explained parts of the plot that i wont go into to much as it may spoil the movie. Now onto the good, the cinematography is fantastic, from begining to end the film has a gritty dirty horror movie feel to it, with other very modern
forms of camera work, including the camera thrashing around in fast foward, the music combined with the film techniques was reminiscent of Rob zombies' house of 1000 corpses, the story line could also be compared to Se7en, the story line is orginal and exciting from the moment the main characters wake up at the beginging of the film i sat on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next. Towards the end of the film i
started to get a little worried that perhaps the ending had been ruined by falling into the usual thriller horror cliche' but it was revived with a fantastic twist at the end that very few people will pick, and a classic style horror ending that will leave alot of horror fans quite pleased that the writers didnt decide to follow the modern style horror movie ending.

Overall i give the film a 7 out of 10. This review is for people who like thriller/horror films this film
most probably wont appeal to most average cinema goers.

I've been waiting for this movie all year. Bring on the "Saw"! :cool:
