Avatar Size :)

In case Horror happens by....

I dont know how plausible this may be, but could we double the byte size for Avatars? I knwo this could be undoable logistcally (if everyone had a unique avatar that was animated, you could run out of room), but playing around with making animated gifs, the average size of a 100x100 animation with full color around 15 or so frames is 30-40 kb, which is just too big.

I am only suggesting this because we could get some really kick-ass avatars for everyone if the max was raised just a tad.

I think we should be able to double the size or make at least a little bigger when we hit a certain post count. This way it not everyone would have one. Like when you hit 2,000 posts. There are only a handful who have.

I agree with this. I tried to get this evil eyes pic and it said, "must be 100 pixels" I mean, how gay is that?

i believe 150x150 would work wonders. its good for are own made message board so why can't it be used here

Hellbound 10-06-2004 10:10 AM

Can't you use an html image link in the signatures box? That'd display a picture and it can be the pretty big.

I'm fairly new to this site so if it's not possible then ignore me.

zwoti 10-06-2004 11:33 AM

[IGNORE] :D

You actually took the time to let me know you ignored it?

I feel so warm now....on the inside....where it counts the most.

I believe that as long as the avatar size fits in the space provided (or should I say left after having a 100x100 avatar) it should be O.K. to use. Just look at the free space I have. We could all have a nicer 150x150 image. But I wouldn't make the file size any bigger. This site is very big, lots of members and topics. And that takes up a lot of space. So having big avatars could become a problem.

I think Horror should delete ALL the members who havn't been here in a years time, at least. Then delete ALL Topics, unless they are important. That will clear up a huge hunk of space and he could allow bigger avatars and such then.
