Classic Horrors

What do you consider to be the most classic horror movies? Not nessessarily the best, just the ones that you think changed the industry the most, or had the biggest impact on the world. I would have to say Psycho, because it did things that no other movie, horror or otherwise, had done before. Also "The Exorcist" and "The Shining".....Just because.

And last, but not least, Halloween. It started the slasher movie obsession, and is still going strong to this day. Well, maybe not all that strong, but it is still going. Without Halloween, we would be in a world without Freddy! Or Jason! Or....other people.

Night of the Living Dead. It will always be the most original and creative and just BEST horror movie in my eyes no matter what anyone says. It changed the genre with gore, nudity, black leading men etc. Perfection.

But I still refuse to watch the remake because I respect the first one way to much. Its been tough staying away from a Tony Todd movie though. Im just obsessed with him :D

Yeap, the remake was OK... I would add The Exorcist to the ones mentioned here... As it opened the way to subtler, more psychological movies...
