you're welcome, they'll be plenty of beer. :D Quote:
In the Uk, 'Real' or 'Proper' Beer is called Beer, whereas, Lager, which is the same as your 'Beer', is called Lager here. i.e. in the Bud advert, they say "grab a Beer blah blah blah..." so your Beer is the same as what we call Lager, and our 'Real' or 'Proper' Beer is completely different from your Yank Beer. Also 'Real' UK Beer and Yank Beer/UK Larger have different Brewing processes that differenciate the two from each other. Yank Beer and Uk Lager is lighter in taste and colour, whereas 'Real' or 'Proper' UK Beer is darker in colour and stonger in taste. The different types can have less or more alchohol than the other. So back to the question. We do have some 'proper' or 'real ale' Beers that are served warm, because thats the way the brewers say they should be drunk and enjoyed most. There are others aswell, some stouts can be drunk warm. There are numerous other 'real' Beers I could add, but this is just gona make things complicated for you lot. So to conclude my Beer Class, Yank Beer and UK Lager which are the same, is best served Ice Cold........ and Real Beer which is not the same as Yank Beer, cos thats the same as Lager, can be served warm. Thank you for your cooperation... goodday. |
Thanks Shanks. That was actually me who asked that question.
We here in the states have some beers that are best served at room temp. More on the same idea as your stouts. Such as certain micro-brews. I had the pleasure of downing a couple over the weekend. Twas a Siearra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Ale. A fine kickass brew at 9.6% alc. per volume. |
