I'm gonna save myself some time and say that I have never thought any movie was better than it's book.

There. I vote book for every single one match no matter what.
That should save me a few trips back to this thread.

fluffho 06-15-2004 08:56 PM

i vote for every movie

movies are 2.. 3 hours max. and even if im lazy i can watch it in increments.. taking me maybe 3-4 days. perhaps a week

books i never EVER finish...

EVER

:D

kpropain 06-15-2004 09:02 PM

Book>Movie every time........

Freddy Krueger. 06-15-2004 09:03 PM

I can't do that, ya'll. I can only count your votes if you return and vote for each contest and/or battle.

jay o2 waster 06-15-2004 09:06 PM

I'll say the movie for this match

kpropain 06-15-2004 09:07 PM

Book

Freddy Krueger. 06-15-2004 09:21 PM

First one to 5 votes wins. Need more votes.

DarkPurit@n 06-15-2004 10:22 PM

most definately the book

wufongtan 06-15-2004 10:30 PM

I'd say movie cause i haven't read the book yet. i'm such a dunder head. I think books just about always beat the movies cause they go into more detail. and i usally find that with movies that were made out of books if you see the movie first before you read the book i normaly lrate the movie against the book a lot higher............ normaly.

Freddy Krueger. 06-15-2004 10:40 PM

2 more for Movie to win. 1 more vote for Book to win.

evil_blonde 06-15-2004 11:01 PM

Freddy Krueger. 06-15-2004 11:48 PM

After one gets 5 votes, someone else pease post another battle.
Remember: it has to be a book vs. movie. The book must be the same as the movie, take the ones above as example. It doesn take a Einstien to figure that out.

evil_blonde 06-15-2004 11:50 PM

i wasnt tlkn 2 u, im not in ur list :(
i was tlkn bout jays list

i say book, havent read it or seen the movie (as with above) but i think books always end up better than the movie, no mater what

Freddy Krueger. 06-15-2004 11:53 PM

bloodrayne 06-16-2004 01:02 AM

Sorry, Freddy but it's true...The book is ALWAYS better than the movie...This has been one of my personal quotes since time immemorial...If you liked the movie...You will love the book...READ THE BOOKS, PEOPLE:cool:

Go ahead and list your perceptions of exceptions...I still stand by what I said:)

wufongtan 06-16-2004 01:09 AM

With stephen kings books it is always the books hands down except for saloms lot. and maybe the stand

ShankS 06-16-2004 03:12 AM

I cant see this working too well.

I for one dont read many books that went onto be horror films, so wont be able to vote, I reckon quite a few people here dont either.

The ones I have read, far outclass the movie anyhow.

As an English teacher, I can proudly proclaim that I probably read just as many, of not more, books than I see movies. Although both have their strong points, I prefer the book on most occaisions because the images the words create in my mind are far more satisfying than the ones the movies create for me. I'll grant, though, that there are a LOT of books whose stories would have been better told as a movie. Anyway ... as for this vote, I would have to go with the book.

Freddy Krueger. 06-18-2004 06:28 AM
