Wasn't sure what to expect but it's quite alright.
If you like the first two movies, give it a go.

I caught it yesterday online. Not too bad!

So far we got a "quite alright" and "not too bad".

That's high praise when you go into it with very low expectations. I'll definitely be watching the next episode.

Second episode was more average but it still has my interest.

What I fear the most is that in the end good will conquer evil.
Not only would it be predictable and cliché, but mainly boring.
I think when working with certain concepts like the anti-christ, a gloomy ending where evil wins would be more suiting and a lot more interesting.

Just watched the trailer - so it fits into the continuity of the original films? I'm assuming some liberties are taken, given that Damien isn't nearly old enough and is decidedly not Sam Neill.

Holy hell ferret, it's been almost 1 and a half year!! ::shocked::

They actually use scenes from the original movie in flashback sequences.

I think it's set after part 1 or 2. The one where his dad tries to kill him.
He blocked out the trauma, now he's 30, things are starting to come back, evil is awakening,...

Watched the third episode last night, I'm liking it more and more. Except Barbara Hershey really creeps me out. There's times it seems like she's coming on to him. Gross!

It's going downhill. Needs more horror.

Yeah, I have to agree. I'm all for a slow burn, but, this is ridiculous.

I'm done. Might catch up later when I'm really bored but for now I quit.
More and more drama, less and less horror.
There even was a bit where basically nothing happened and still they played the spooky Omen music like something was going. What a load of crap.
Why they didn't take the easy approach is beyond me:
Evil Damien vs a (religous) cop and his partner. Series final, either the end of the world or the death of Damien. Bam!

You don't have to worry about it anymore. It's been cancelled.

Amazing how they could fuck that one up so fast.

Obviously created people who doesn't really understand the concept of horror. ::roll eyes::

Too bad. It finally got interesting.
But it's no surprise. It was too slow and dramatic for a horror series.
