I just listened to a 12 part podcast on Charlie Manson that was super informative and awesome. I am looking for other podcasts on serial killers. I love listening to them while I work. Anyone know somewhere I can find some really good podcasts on True Crime and Serial Killers?

Thanks for the recommendations. Halfway through the Manson one and listened to the first episode of "Sword and Scale". Both very good listens. The really scary part of the S&S episode, is that this dude killed 6 people , served little time and now could be any one of our neighbors.

Right! And there are 58 more episodes! Some of them are a little less interesting but most are freaking awesome. And its stuff you never hear about. Stuff that gets lost in the jumble of crazy news stories. It blows my mind.

And nowhere near as good as the podcasts you have already mentioned, but good for a gap filler while you wait for new episodes is us. Casefile: True Crime. Just launched a few weeks ago,

OK, I know, I'm behind the times. But, I've just discovered how to listen to podcasts in my car. Now I'm addicted. My favorites, so far, are Lore, Nerdist, Fresh Air, Stuff You Missed in History Class, Star Talk Radio, History Goes Bump, Stuff You Should Know, Embedded, Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories, Myths and Legends, The Dark Verse

That's a lot. Might mention to your boss you'd like to listen at work.

YAY!! I love chatting Podcasts with you! So psyched that you're listening! I think of you every time I listen to Nerdist because I know you love Chris Hardwick. :) I don't listen to it all the time, though, just when there's a guest that I dig. I'm definitely taking note of the True Crime ones you've mentioned.

Also, I loved the first season of Serial (didn't finish the second), and I'm very excited about their upcoming one, S-Town.

I just downloaded/subscribed to Sword and Scale, Generation Why, Embedded, and In the Dark and Lore based on other True Crime fans, though I haven't listened to them a great deal yet.

I'll have to check out My Favorite Murder. Sounds like it's right up my alley! I really enjoy Embedded and Lore. You should try The Dark Verse, too - the author is a member here at HDC!

ha.....as hokey as "Unsolved Murders:" is....I enjoy it. Also Nerdist...like Chrono says...as long as it's someone I'm interested in.

Re: Nerdist - yes, I only listen if it's someone I'm interested in. His interview with Catherine O'Hara was fantastic! She NEVER gives interviews, but, granted him one.

Just started listening to Sword and Scale. Great Podcast but, man, the subject matter can be so depressing! (I need to stop binging true crime murder stuff; it makes me sad/anxious).

Just to jump back in forever later. Try on True Crime Garage, fucking excellent and well detailed true crime podcast. Also try FrightDay. Its three people and they are pretty damn hilarious. They do movie reviews and cryptids and conspiracies. Its super fun.

Actually, it was a fascinating listen

I thought up and vanished was great but has kind of fallen off in the last few episodes.

The best podcast I've listened to yet was s town.

Definitely checking out the mans one one.

Im sure it was, im just really really not a Gore fan. Lol.

I love True Crime Garage, Frightday, and Sword and Scale. I literally check them constantly for updates. Thinking Sideways is pretty good too.

I haven't tried those yet either.

I'm a few episodes into the Manson podcast. Definitely enjoying it.
