How long since the last post in here???
I couldn't think of anything really groundbreaking to put in here, or any show I hadn't discussed before, so I'm just gonna throw in a bit of everything.

Please name for me all the basic (excluding soap crap) genres of television show, when we come to a decision on what the main genres are, we'll discuss our favourite shows of each, old or new.

Anyone?

Talk shows (although this should be split up, I'll just think of how)

?Crime/police? or should that go into an overall larger categorie?

Is porn more in the movie or tv show catagory?

drama is the only one i can come up w/ beside the ones that have already been said

I aint adding porn, 'cos I'm not talking about brazillian tv...and yeah, it is more for the movies. I just can't jack off in under an hour!


bg2, by drama, would that mean the daytime tv crap? I guess if there's ppl in here who know ANYTHING about it, we could add it after all?

sometimes on tnt they advertise shows like
angel
charmed
and law and order as dramas
so thats what i was talking about

ok angel (definately) and charmed go into the categorie: Horror/horror themed. I know charmed would be pushing it, but I think that's about as close a categorie as I can manage without making this thing totally allover the place. Unless you guys have any better ideas?

So...what's the list look like so far? I'm kinda lazy, but if someone put a list in front of me, it'd be easier to see the areas not yet covered.

I got another one - documentaries. I know there's not many ONGOING shows (there ARE a few though, for those who know...)
of documentaries, but, yknow, we could name the coolest one we ever saw on tv??

I enjoy some documentaries....ongoing or not...

Arthur C Clark's Mysterious World and Mysterious Universe were 2 of the coolest shows ever. Discovery also had a show called "Animal X" for a while where they explored stuff like Giant Squid, and the possibility of the Yeti, stuff like that. I miss those.



Beyond Bizarre was pretty kick-ass too.

But then they had that lame-ass Urban Legend show with Natasha Henstridge, and all the cool mystery shows disappeared.


I also want new episodes of mythbusters. I have seen all of them at least twice by now.....

Agreed I love watching the history channel.

Not to sound like one of the nazi douches, but I do love reading and watching stuff on WW2. I've always been fascinated by the time period in which it took place, plus both of my grandfathers were in WW2 so I got to hear some very interesting stories from them.

They always cancel the shows I like or channels here drop them after the first season:(

I was watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and Six Feet Under........loved them! Also bad assed Whoopi was good. Pissed that they cancelled it. I am also a news junkie, love docs. too!
