What sort of Horror do you Love? (+ New Poster)

Hey everyone,

I've been lurking on here forever, but here's the new film poster for my debut short horror film, The Visitor. I'm a big fan of psychological/supernatural horror and Lovecraftian themes. Also like a good science fiction horror flick, but those are sort of rare (Alien, The Thing, etc.)

What sorts of horror does everyone appreciate?

Demonic possession?
Slasher?
Science fiction horror?
Murder porn?

Extreme!

Gore. Sickness. Filth. Insanity. Depravity.

Welcome!

Is there a trailer to your film?

Anything fun. Nothing that takes itself too seriously.

Classics/vintage, monster, slasher, supernatural. For having a wide range of likes, I can actually be very picky about what I watch.

I like just about anything as long as it's good. Zombies, slashers, and Hammer vampire movies are among my favorites.

Gothic, slasher, monster, psychological, Asian, alien.

Generally anything with lots of blood and kills.

sci fi horror, supernatural, zombies and vampires and UFO's.

Kat 02-25-2016 10:58 AM

Sci fi, slasher, zombies.

I think my tops are body horror (though so few people seem to do it well) and sci-fi/horror.

I *think* they mean movies like Human Centipede, Tusk, etc.

Yeah, those are good examples. Also, almost any David Cronenberg horror movie could be included in the sub genre.

I had wondered but wasn't sure. I like those types too, but for some reason I can't get through Human Centipede. That was just a little too fucked up for my taste. I was really hoping they were fixed to look like the thing on the cover. A long body with a lot of extra limbs. Wow was that misleading. ::roll eyes::

Jason X probably doesn't count does it? I think that's about the only one I've seen... But I did really like it. I really want to see The Fly though. Looks great.

Demonic possession scares me the most. Probably because "what if it's true?"
::confused::

I used to be into the classic slashers. I still am. But I used to, too. More recently I've been all about anything James Wan has his named attached to. As far as I'm concerned he's the best thing in horror right now.
