I found a weird one on netflix.

So I was scrolling Netflix and came across a really strange movie. I wouldn't say its horror, but its pretty screwed up. Its called Psycopathia Sexualis. Has anyone else watched it? Its generally scenes created from a doctors journal about sexual perversion and methods to eliminate them in the late Victorian era. I watched it all the way through. Its artsy, and strange. Anyone else, opinions?

Judging by the title,No. sounds like it sucks.

It reads like it would be bad, particularly since its vignettes. I'll give it a try though.

Its bad, hard to follow, not that there really is anything to follow. I only find it interesting because it literally is pulled directly out of a medical journal.

I can believe it.

Realism gets me just as much as a good horror movie. The human mind is a scary place and I love it.

So what were some of the things they tried to overcome the sexual perversions?

Its got some interesting attempts to overcome homosexuality with hypnosis. a decent but all wrong lobotomy scene. Electroshock. Steam bathing, they once thought they could steam the crazy out of you. Just interesting stuff. It talks about men who like to be beaten and punished and a young man who loves the taste of blood.
