Hmm... let's see. Not a lot of good romance in Horror films; or at least I'm not aware of them. Best I can think of off the top of my head:

The Fly 87
Vacancy
King Kong 33, 76, 05
Godzilla Vs Monster Zero (suave Nick Adams)

Nekromantik was one hell of a 'amazing' love story!! It deserve its place in any romantic horror movie listing.

Agree with you on Attenborough's Magic...loved it too.

Anyway, I'd also like to add few more...

Cemetery Man (1994)
May (2002)

Vacancy

I like the love story in 'Vacancy' - the couple was having problems but the crisis brought them back together. Bummer ending though.

I agree. Romance in Horror is obviously so few and far between, when one pops up you notice. Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale really did a nice job conveying a complicated married couple ready to divorce, but still love each other. It required a great deal of nuance to do well, and Luke especially hit it.

I like this vote.

I honestly didn't think the American version was too bad either. However there definitely was a missing element from the American version. I believed the boy character in the Sweedish version would have made the choices he made, whereas the American version was a little more 'movie'.

Maybe that's just being too over-analytical . I thought both were good anyway.
