Tie Charles Manson and Genghis Khan
Charles Manson-aside from all his wacked out ranting that he does at times, he is actually a very intellegent person and very charismatic. Genghis Khan-look it up I agree with Sam about Koresch, he was a very interesting character. 2 bad he was murdered by our goverment. Kudos on Jack the Ripper, anyone who can do that kind of surgery on the fly in an alley..... |

Shit. When I think about it, Vlad Dracula is by far my favorite. His kill count is up and beyond most. Not to mention he was the reason for so many wonderful movies. A true vampire, and it doesn't get much better than that. Bathory is still awesome as fuck too, because she was like the female Vlad of sorts.
Now Jack the Ripper and the Zodiac got by with it. That is pretty tough. Jack the Ripper was basically ridding the city from disease by killing hookers. The best view point I have ever seen on Jack the Ripper is Alan Moore's comic series, From Hell. It makes it all quite interesting. Taking out vital organs and setting them on the nightstand is so bad ass. The Green River Killer. He didn't kill far from my home, but he was another that killed many a hooker. He got caught though. The lust killer: Jerry Brudos. This guy was sick. He only killed a handful of women, but he did terrible things with them. He choked them out, raped them, and woke them up to do it over. He was a weirdo anyway. He would choke women out and steal their shoes. Anyhow, after killing these women he would keep their corpses around and have sex with them. One of the women they had found in a lake was missing her breasts. Why? Because he was trying to use them as paperweights. I have a book called "Feind". It is about the youngest serial killer. It is insane. This little boy cut up other kids for sexual pleasure. One of the victims, a 3 year old boy, was found dead on the beach with his penis missing. It is a very interesting book. "It was a half rotten old woman, shrouded in a white sheet, covered with brown stains. Her face seemed to be smeared with oil, but it was simply the death fluids oozing from her skin. The stench was so intense that I nearly fainted. I tried to lift one side of the sheet, but it was glued to her petrified skin. The teeth were protruding from the mouth, but her eyes were gone. I stared into the empty eye sockets, and all of a sudden something broke into my mind. I felt like I was falling into a whirlwind. That's when I picked up a screwdriver. The corpse inside the coffin started to move slightly, like if it had guessed what would happen next. So I began to stab the belly, the rib area and the shoulders. I stabbed her at least 50 times. I really can't remember. All I can remember is that when I woke up my forearms were covered with corpse slime." Nicolas Claux. He is one demented and disgusting man. Graverobbing, cannibalism, and murder. William "The Mutilator" MacDonald. He liked to cut people up. Removing the genitalia of unfortunate vagrants. The crazed maniac even brought the genitalia to bed with him. |

I don't admire any serial killer or psycho.
But I do find it interesting to read stuff on them, just shows you how fucked up humans can be. |

But the smartest most succesfull maniac would have to be genghis khan. was i being hypocritical? who cares. |
i must go with Vlad and Jack the Ripper...
and give me a break you whiners.. you're on HORROR.COM... if you have no interest in serial killers or there huge influences on the horror genre... then why are you here... even more so.. stop ragging on us for appreciating something... doesn't mean we're killers |

still don't get why you're on horror.com if you're so touchy about people picking influential psychos

i don't think the title of this thread is really meant literally.. if someone here actually admires what the people have done.. then they're probably dangerous... i wasn't meaning to step on your toes... i'm probalby just a little edgy for some reason... but i just find it odd that a horror buff doesn't find the inspirations interesting to read about.. :) but i guess taht's not what you were saying
|
I sure don't admire any killers, but the Jack the Ripper case is fastinating, and I also really have always been intrested in Lizzie Bordon.
That is the key here........horror fans usually are intrested in these types of stories, the mystery in what leads someone to do what they do.:) |
Despite how wrong it is, killers fascinate us all...at least anyone at this forum...None of us (I hope) would copy them but indeed we are drawn to it like a train wreck. I've always been interested in Jack the Ripper and Elizabeth Bathory (sp?) and the more modern Ed Gein and John Wayne Gacy. Of course we can't forget Khan or Vlad the Impaler.
|
Vlad and Elisabeth Bathory I read alot about both I have 3 or 4 books about both in my collection. I find most modern serial killers boring and to be jackasses with no self-control....I really like my horror of the fake kind

I'm afraid i dont agree. Cult leaders are just as bad as any other megalomaniac, in some cases worse. |

Have you noticed all religious sects come down too ... I can fuck all the women and you can't??? |
yea... interesting story to read about.. but i consider it justice that he is dead... justice goes unserved too often to call it murder when it is finally served to the deserving

being a psychology major, i always find cases like this extremely interesting and sometimes find reason to have some sympathy (it's rare)... many of these people really have the honest believe that what they're doing is really good work... and they have a locked addiction to that... voices that tell them to... when someone becomes mentally ill to such an extreme sense.. you rarely get through to the real person that they once were... sometimes with dissociative personality disorder (multiple personalities).. you have someone going out and killing that doesn't even realize it... and the lucid side/personality really goes through a lot of torment... however, this case is very rare and it turns out that a lot of them are schizos or have anti-social personality disorder (lack of conscience and guilt and an extreme ability to rationalize their corrupted actions)
|
... You would know more than me from studying it, but I think the types of killers, i.e. serial killers are rarely schizophrenics as they would not be capable of the devious organization and many are in fact sociopaths with no sense of responsibility within society!!! I agree some times a killer can be so disturbs you have sympathy for there plight, but at the end of the day the primary sympathy must be for the victims!!!!!
... But some one can live a normal none violent life even if they suffer from sociopathic tendencies, these people choose to step outside the boundaries and should be confined both for society’s sake and their own ... In the case of religious freaks some are driven by voices, but many other are looking for a sense of control over others playing on their weaknesses for there own gain!!! |
