Most wanted sequels?
Joe E Ville's "Most wanted remake is..." thread gave me the idea and I thought this deserves it's own thread.
Let's say each of these unmade sequels always have the right cast, director, producer,... And let us focus more on possible storylines, evolutions, locations,... Re-Animator 4 Aftwer watching the series again and because the last one in the series was pretty good, I really want a sequel. West escapes to Mexico, where he gets another job and starts his experiments again with the help of a US medical student. The student falls in love with some hot nurse (who ofcourse gets killed and revived at some point). West gets captured by a local cartel and is forced to be their doctor or to produce drugs. Toward the end dead people cross the order this alerts the US police who go after West but he escapes again. And maybe goes to Africa, Australia or some small island for another sequel. |

Haha House of Re-Animator has been in development for years. I don't think anyone wants to fund it.
There's a few of the older slashers like The Burning and My Bloody Valentine that should've had sequels... too late now though. I'd like to see sequels for the reboots of The Thing, Friday The 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. Top of my list would be another Phantasm film while Angus Scrimm is still around. |
Definitely a new Phantasm film and a new Saw film, I felt Saw 7 was rushed and didn't end the series well enough. I'd also like to see another Demons film like the first two but set somewhere else like a museum.

THE SENTINEL 1977
Starred Christina Raines, Beverly D'Angelo, Chris Sarandon and Burgess Meredith. A young woman moves into an old brownstone inhabited by ghosts and apparently sitting on the mouth of hell If you believe the hype, people with disfiguring deformities were used as the demons. It could have been make-up but some looked very real. In the end, the young woman unwittingly becomes The Sentinel left to stare blindly out the upper window guarding the hell mouth. |

Not a sequel per se but I'd love to see the other potential threads Cabin in the Woods could have gone down if they chose differently... That would be cool extra content.
|
Still waiting on the perfect Friday the 13th movie. No one seems to be able to get that mix of terror and atmosphere right.
|
Try the original Halloween.
OHHHHHHH SNAP ::big grin:: |
I'd love to see a follow-up of this following movies:
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2006), Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006), Trick r' Treat (2007), Dead Silence (2007), Sinister (2012) |

Dead Silence is another that would be good. From what I heard, they're making another Trick R Treat aren't they? I'd love to see a Host Sequel |
Those who want Phantasm V, wish granted, it got confirmed recently and with the title of Phantasm: Ravager. The poster's hit online, too. I'm so excited, my favorite Horror series is finally getting a new movie.

I hope that's not true that Coscarelli isn't involved, he's been a huge part of the series' consistantly good quality.
|
I believe Coscarelli has been overseeing the film but isn't directing.

Tucker & Dale sequel.
I was planning to post this and then I read they're planning a sequel. Tucker and Dale Vs Evil 2 Announcement! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BakMuq5C99c |

Dead Silence 2
Also I would like to see a (if possible) The Others 2 Maybe another Gremlins. I would also like to see like a GOOD remake of Tremors. I remember watching these movies as a kid and really enjoying them which nowadays there's not too many kid friendly horror/monster films. I have kids so I really can't watch too many films with them because of the nudity and gore in them. |

If you can't find it, I might be able to hook you up with a copy. Quote:

I've heard about The Host sequel for awhile now but haven't heard anything new about it in a long time |

That would be awesome. |

On the other hand, a sequel might decrease the quality of the first one. |
I'd love a good Tremors sequel. I'm all for monster movies... The original Tremors scared the S out of me when I was a kid. ::embarrassment::

Cabin In The Woods
Wouldn't mind a bunch of prequels. In the movie they mention they've been doing the ritual for ages. So why not a prequel set in 2000, 1990, 1980, 1970,... Same principle, different location, different time. There were so many monsters so with a bit of creativity a good prequel shouldn't be that hard. And just like in most Final Destination movies, everybody dies in the end. Final Destination Always liked this series. Especially the later ones. So I wouldn't mind another sequel |

I'd like an Oculus sequel.

I'm the kind of person who likes a good background story. And a sequel could provide more information. And maybe a third part for the big finish? Btw, have you read The Trap by H.P. Lovecraft and Henry S. Whitehead? Great short story about an old evil mirror. I think some elements were used in Oculus. You can read it here http://www.hplovecraft.com/writings/...tion/trap.aspx I'm actually surprised no turned this into a movie yet. |

Mary Shaw deserves a big-screen comeback, but that won't happen. The Trick 'r Treat sequel is still in the writing stage, as Dougherty is focusing on his Krampus move, which should also be a delight. Being unrealistic, I'd like a sequel to The Monster Squad. Coming back to reality, I'll settle for Pacific Rim 2 (considering Godzilla didn't hit the monster mark for me). |

I was waiting for a sequel to Wolf Creek, and the finally did it. I haven't seen it yet, but am going to get the just recently released DVD. |

I recently watched it and I thought it was entertaining but I didn't like it as much as the first one. You will have to let us know what you think about it. |
