does anybody have any good recommendations for me??
i wanna start reading again.

If I think of anything I will let you know.

I basically watch horror films rather than read horror books.

I know Stephen King's an obvious one, but Black house is one of my fave books ever, and thats full of gore. this one genuinely scared me hah.

As is the one I'm reading at the moment. its an e-book called the Children of Manson. Its been really good so far- sex is implied but again, full of gore, and good concept behind it too.

For something a little more old school classic horror "The pan book of horror stories" is a good one. its all short stories but i liked them. no gore though really... its got the old fashioned syle to it. genius in its own way in my opinion.

If this is for real I periodically come across "extreme" horror collections that might fit this bill but don't recall any titles. You gotta porn shop in town? Other than that any anthology of new horror fiction ought to contain something in a like vein.

Lansdale, Robert Devereaux, Ray Garton, Ryan Harding, Dave Brockie (a.k.a. Oderus Urungus, lead vocalist of GWAR), Ed Lee, hell just go to Deadite Press's website http://deaditepress.com/, if you're into gore and nastiness then that would be the place to check out.

Wish I would have read a little further down, lol.

try Daemonic by Stephen Laws or Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill.
And of course anything by the master Stephen King.

Agreed with Bob's list. Those are good authors. Also I would say one of Joe Hill's books, either "Heart-Shaped Box" or "Horns".

Hell House by Richard Matheson probably the best haunted house story I have ever read. I've read it four times and I still get creeped out.
