Why do you think the The Lament Configuration is so easy to open?
 

If you've seen the Hellraiser movies then you'll know the 'The Lament Configuration' in which summons the Cenobites. If I remember correctly, the box is actually meant to be hard to open but yet, the characters in the movies open it with ease. My question to you guys is;

Why do you think it's so easy to open?

Would be a pretty boring movie if the box couldn't be opened.

I blame the script writers.

Good question Ghost. My intuition is Pinhead and the hellhounds can will it open, making people only think they opened it.

I never said it couldn't be opened but they insisted on how hard it is to open but yet they open it pretty easily. I'm not hating on the movie, I just wondered why they made it seem like a nursey toy.

I was thinking along the same lines that Pinhead and the cenobites want the box to be easy to open so they can claim more victiims.

Much like the wonders that you can receive from opening the box, the legend about it being hard to open might too be exaggerated as most legends get when passed on.

Expand on that?

Meaning that just because people say it's hard to open and that's the legend behind it doesn't mean its true.
