Oh, it'll be first time in BR History that a contestant winning the title consecutively 2nd time in a row!;)

Here we go, folks. The ultimate battle to crown one of you as the HDC Battle Royale King/Queen commences!

For those new to the HDC BR survival program, let me elaborate a bit on how things work.

- As a participant, you are first drafted into a group consisting of HDC members which will be your initial team in HDC Battle Royale.

- After the groups are formed, Challenges based on movie trivia, crosswords, wordsearches, picture searches, etc. are posted, usually with a 48-hour deadline to find the answers. Correct answers win you points, and points are redeemed for Health Packs.

- The Health Packs you win help in ensuring your survival in the Hunts that follow at the end of each Challenge. The losing team is led into the Hunting Zone, and the winning team hunts them down.

- In case all members of the winning team fail to fire/use their weapons on the losing team's members, they are punished by the BR Snipers. Punishment increases as the BR program progresses.

- Early bird correct entries win Bonus points, and can lead to unlocking some exciting stuff to be used in the Zone. They can be either defensive or offensive items.

- Eliminations continue till the last 10 are left, and that's when the groups are disbanded and it becomes an individual challenge.

- Round of 5 (the final 5 participants left) would follow an entirely different pattern of Challenges than the initial stages.

- After the first few initial Challenges, the teams in the Hunting Zone are joined by the Battle Royale Stalkers. Now, these Stalkers are unpredictable in behaviour and can target either a winning team member or losing team member or BOTH, depending on the Challenge's Hunting Zone outing's rules.

- Remember, to ensure your survival through the stages, you will have to rely more on your cunning, wit, and "teaming up" with your teams (or members within your teams). Knowledge (and a talent at using Google/IMDB) is a requisite, but it will be more dependent on your cunning than anything else.

And now for the Rules of the HDC Battle Royale.

1 - Once you are drafted into a team, you are a binding member of it till announced otherwise or your team stands disbanded.

2 - If you hold your team back in the first Challenge itself, your team is free to take a final decision for you, which may include killing you off.

3 - If someone has to sit out a Challenge or a Hunt, the team in question decides it on their own. You cannot sit out a Challenge or a Hunt two times in a row.

4 - We start off with 2 teams this time, unlike the previous iterations which had 3 teams. If attendance increases by the time the 1st Challenge is posted, a third team may be formed, depending on the larger number of participants.

5 - If your team loses a Challenge, don't fret. The losing team will also have a chance to win a special something for themselves.

6 - As opposed to having only 1-2 Stalkers like the previous iterations, there will be an entire line-up of Stalkers for this year's Battle Royale. We have had the Predator, the Chainer and the Alien doing duty before, but this year there will be some other HUGE names joining them. Stalkers will not target members of the winning team ONLY, but BOTH (or all 3) teams in the Zone. Better keep that shotgun handy, and your eyes open. If you are unarmed... good luck.

7 - Not every initial Challenge ends with a Hunt this time. A Challenge may end with only rewards or only punishment, but as we progress beyond the first 6 Challenges, Hunting Zone outings will become compulsory.

8 - If you confirm your participation and take part in the first few (less than 6) Challenges, then suddenly don't show up for a Challenge, you will be given a grace period for ONE more Challenge ONLY. Your failure to turn up in the 2nd Challenge in a row will put you in your group's firing line for deciding your fate.

9 - Likewise, if you participate in the first 6 Challenges and beyond, then don't show up for a Challenge, you will get a grace period for TWO more Challenges. Failure to turn up in the 3rd straight Challenge will make your team sit up and decide your fate. (Sorry, but we have had issues with this before, and your team cannot be left hanging because of your no-show)

10 - For Word-Search, Crossword, Picture-Search based Challenges, each team member must upload their answers to their own photobucket (or similar image-hosting site) and send the link to me. Sharing the same link between members will count in disqualified answers.

11 - The total points you score in a Challenge help you win Healthpacks, 5 points = 1 Health Pack. When you are targeted in a Hunt, 1 Health Pack (or 1 HP, as is commonly referred to in Battle Royale terms) will negate the injury caused by 1 Bullet/Hack.

12 - FOUR Bullets/Hacks will kill you. These will be your statuses at the end of a Hunt -
ONE Bullet/Hack = Wounded,
TWO Bullets/Hacks = Bleeding,
THREE Bullets/Hacks = Critical, and
FOUR Bullets/Hacks = DEAD (fatal).

13 - Depending on the Hunts, you are free to DONATE your HPs to a member in your team to ensure their survival in the hunt, if you consider them to be valuable enough to be targetted by the opposing team. This can be done by conferring amongst yourselves. In case you aren't sure of whom to donate your HPs, you can send a PM to me saying "I donate (all/"a fixed number") of my HPs to whoever needs them the most."

14 - Be very careful while donating ALL of your HPs however, in case YOU happen to be the target, your own HPs won't be able to save you, unless the person whom you chose to be the recipient of your HPs is not targetted.

15 - Relax, and enjoy the HDC Battle Royale. All you need to do is be a good team member, keep constant communication with your team members through PMs, interact regularly through this official thread, and help your team out in finding the answers/planning the Hunts. Senior team members who have already been a part of HDC BR before are requested to maintain this between team members, and help them ease into this Survival Program.


In addition, individual rules of Challenges will be posted with the Challenge itself. Same goes for the Hunts, and the reward/punishment outings.
