What knocks you sick in horror films?
 

I can deal with slicing of the eyeballs etc and most gory scenarios but I cannot bare to watch anything to do with pins under fingernails or achilles heels being sliced! Examples being Pet semetary with Gage slicing up his mums achilles tendons and Devils bridge ~with Old bill hobbling his victim.*Wince*!
Pins under nails at its worst is from the film Imprint.I actually had to watch that from behind a cushion and make gagging noises!

Breaking limbs, especially with really well-done folly work. Ugh. Just can't stand it. Broke my ankle last year and when I hear it that's all I can think about.

Also can't deal with animals being hurt or killed.

.Urgh yeah!! greenstick breaks!! -retch!!I hate jackass etc because they wind up animals,theres just no need for it.

Non simulated animal cruelty-I think it's a lazy, unnecessary shock tactic and I try to avoid films with it in.

no erm probably the creepy stalker characters, like the classic camera angles of the original Halloween, which captured a creepy stalker-esque Michael stood 30 odd meters away and often behind immediate items in shots. wouldn't say it knocks me sick more like makes my skin crawl.

Our own imaginations can create shocking things more than seeing the real thing. Like, if a guy is about to be sawed in half and they break away and all you hear is his screams, your imagination takes over and creates something way more worse than what could be shown. At least my imagination does. maybe I'm just a sick and twisted fuck. lol.

As far as what makes me squirm...when someone is about to be cut open and they slow the scene down and the dude who's doing the cutting is sharpening the kinfe and telling the victim what he is going to do to him/her, etc...then he gets down to business...the wait in itself is pretty grusome.

When people have to break their own bones or popping things out/back gets me, too.

Anything near the eyes as well.

Burns as well. With pokers and the like...

I am not a huge fan of the el puke-o movies either. i don't mind seeing fake puke, but when the real stuff is features it makes me wanna...well, puke.

Gay rape(and normal rape too probably coz someone i know was raped at quite a young age),kiddy fiddling,and probably animal cruilty too,unless its in a new film coz they can just computer animate that shit,but in the old ones your allways wondering

It's the odd stuff that makes me sick. Stuff like those creatures in Star Trek II that go in your ear. I still get antsy when I see real earwigs and I wonder what they are doing.

Pretty girls getting killed in horrible ways make me sick too. Hatchet 1 & 2 are good examples. The pretty girl in part 1 getting the saw. I only watched that scene once. I can't anymore. Same with the blonde in part 2. Rose McGowan's death scene in Death Proof is another one.

The pea soup, projectile vomiting in the Exorcist is pretty cool. For my part, I am disturbed by tentacle hentai.

Snot is the only thing that grosses me out. I can't stand crying scenes where snot is just pouring from the person's nose. Its also why I don't want little kids around me. Just thinking of snot makes me want to gag.

I believe Rose McGowan's look in death proof supposed to be similar to the blonde in the Casino Royale spoof. I thought she was hot. I believe she did break the rules with the stuntman with some of her dialog. I just thought the whole face crashing into metal was too much.

The car crash with the other girls had some twisted humor about it. The sheriff even gets it.

Any realistic bone breaking or tendon cutting, etc. makes me go "ouch". Saw 3 when Donnie Wahlberg is trying to walk and his ankle snaps. Doesn't make me sick or gross me out per say...but it does make me want to rub my leg to make sure it's still ok.

The zipper scene in `There`s Something about Mary`.Sick and funny in equal measures

Yeah, that was the only part of the blair witch I found horrifying. Had to look away for a second during that crying scene.

My mate did that, we had to take him to A and E where after he was 'released' had to be stitched up ..His outpatients card...a bright pink piece of card you had to take back with you when you had the stitches out(none of these dissolving ones back then!!)had in big letters ,area of injury...PENIS.
It was a massive source of amusement for us ..snigger!

Removing off the fingernails. I cannot deal with it at all, I almost be sick and I refuse to watch any scene which include such acts. :(

Animal mistreatment of any kind, real or fake, unless it's genuinely important to the plot.

That scrotum puncture thing from Serpent and the Rainbow always seemed pretty awful.

The end of Famke Janssen flick 100 Feet, ChronoGrl defo wouldnt like it as some poor bugger gets beaten TO FUCK by a vengeful spirit. Bones and teeth all over the place, very unpleasant.
