Trick r treat

On a dark Halloween night four horrifying and twisted interwoven stories occured these stories made sure that Halloween In this small little town would never be the same! Ok i admit it i loved this movie it was dark and was filled with plenty of scares! Has any one else see this movie if so what did you think? And why do you feel that way? Please tell me your guys thoughts.

I really enjoyed this movie! My favourite story was the one with the autistic girl who summoned the zombies against the people who picked on her. Yes, I do enjoy my schadenfreude. Plus it was just a fun little film, and I liked that the way to be safe in that world was to thoroughly enjoy Halloween.

I love this movie, very fun to watch. I always watch it every October.

CaptainSpaulding 08-03-2012 03:19 AM

I love it. Definately one of my favorites. The whole thing is entertaining, and having it be multiple stories kept it from getting boring or redundant. As a plus, it's fun to watch multiple times to try to see the little parts where the stories cross but you don't catch the first time.

I never took it as she summoned the zombies. Interesting take.

I was drawn to this movie right away and it did not disappoint. I got it for like $7.99 on BD and it looks great. I love how the stories intertwine, the setting and atmosphere. Plus who could not love Sam?! Awesome little pumpkin headed monster child that he is!!

I love a good anthology and this is one of the best I've seen.

Thanks every one

First of all thank you for the replies to my post I was hopping for some replies second thing what were your thoughts on the werewolves?

Fulfreez 08-17-2012 01:23 PM

A great movie and one of my go-to's during Halloween. I like to introduce it to people who haven't seen it around Halloween when they're looking for new Halloween things to watch.

I like the twist of the werewolves and I think the effect is pretty well done. I think the lead-up to it is handled pretty well too.

Elvis_Christ 08-18-2012 12:51 AM

This was a lot better than I was expecting. I should watch it again. Definitely one of the better anthologies.

Some movies just have that "instant classic" feel to them...this is one. Lots of fun.

Seen a chunk of it last night at my buddy's house before I had to take off home to watch Breaking Bad season 5's last episode until next year. This was actually a good Halloween themed horror film, I really enjoyed the interwoven story-lines, and the comic book feel of it all. :)

JordyVerrill 09-22-2012 10:02 AM

I love this film. It has a very unique feel to it and in this age of remakes and rehashes, it feels extremely fresh. I haven't seen it since last Halloween season, but I'll watch it again soon.

Posher778 09-22-2012 04:46 PM

Very entertaining and a great party movie, because all audiences can enjoy the scares and humor. Not to mention Anna Paquin's story is one of my favorite movie twists ever.

LOVED this film. It was one of those gems you find and wind up watching it over and over. I think I'll be queuing that up to watch this Halloween! Thank you for the reminder of this one. ;)

Watching Trick 'r Treat and Satan's Little Helper on Halloween has become a tradition of mine recently. There's something about Halloween themed horror movies that I really like and I wish there were more of them. Any suggestions?

Trick 'r Treat is my favorite movie ever! It trumps Halloween as my favorite Halloween-themed movie. I was so tempted to buy that Samhain doll that goes for ~500 dollars on eBay. Of course I don't have 500 dollars to spend on a showpiece.

That's a bit of a bummer....but neither do I and not sure I would spend that much on a doll, unless it was a good voodoo one or something!!

I liked it.
Neat anthology flick that's perfect for the season, and would definitely recommend it.

"Trick r Treat" (2007)

Plot: IMDB
Five interwoven stories that occur on the same block, on the same night. A couple finds what happens when they blow a jack o' lantern out before midnight, a high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer, a college virgin might have met the right guy for her, a group of mean teens play a prank that they take too far, and a hermit is visited by a special trick or treater.

Phantom's Review: Let's face it guys, as Horror fans, we have to sit thru a lot of crap looking for something that's good to watch. But every now and then a film comes along and makes it all worth while, for me "Trick r Treat" was one of those rare little gems. This is a great movie. Terrific acting, a superb story that blends several interlocking stories together, very atmospheric. It's a nice blend of scares, gore and humor that really captures the "spirit " of Halloween. I think this film is going to go on the list of yearly treats that I watch. Highly recommended.

It seems someone is sick and tired of waiting around for a Trick 'r Treat sequel and is taking matters into his own hands. Good for him!

tfantasy 08-31-2014 12:06 PM

I really like it and ended up buying a copy of it! I think my favorite character was the "burlap bag kid with the pumpkin head", it was interesting how it was tied into the whole movie.

I would like to see more horror movies like this; it seems there are too many of the same old cliches.
