I watched the first and second semi-final. A few good songs in the first, but I was disappointed with the second one.

Yes, so was i.

After the first Semi final i had really high hopes for the song standards in the finals. Then came 2. semi. Half of them slow paced songs, which i rarely appreciate.

That being said i still think this is one of the better Eurovision years.

I honestly put money on that song this year (of course, that was before i heard it live. Looking back, that was probably a mistake). I still think the entire song is catchy as hell, but especially the backing singers really lacks in talent which is a shame as it's all about harmony vocals throughout.

Also put money on Iceland, coz that vocal job is totally badass from everyone involved. Something that's quite rare in the Eurovision. :D

Honestly - I have not heard their song..lol..and want to keep it that way.

I haven't seen any of this, caught the finalists being announced tonight, pretty funny, the Australian telecast has 2 Australians commentating it and taking the piss.

The contestant from Albania reminded me of Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker's Dracula

She was scarier. Especially when she started "singing".

What's even scarier is the fact that "song" did really well-came 5th or 6th-more of the same next year?
