What do you guys think should make it on the list so far ?
|
What the hell is a global horror movie?
|
it means released anywhere in the world
|
I honestly can't think of any so far that were anything to write home about.
|
The cabin in the woods (Joss Whedon)
And definitely Prometheus. |

It's horror. It's Ridley Scott. It has a huge budget behind it. |
ok i amend it to upcoming releases then

"The Woman in Black" as well, although it was quite cliché.
And "The Innkeepers". But it's a matter of taste. I liked it. |

The Innkeepers is the years biggest disappointment so far for me. It had its moments but I felt pretty let down. |

I can easilly understand why you and others would disagree. To me Woman in black just is an awsome ghost story. The sad lack of imaginative scares doesn't take that away from it, imo. Neither did Harry Potters wooden acting. The innkeepers... yea, the whole movie IS one slow ass build-up to a very short climax. But i just loved the style, the acting, the dialogue as well as the story. I wish more had happened but i liked it nevertheless. |

Has anyone seen the original WOB? If I recall it was a made for TV movie from a bunch of years back. |

Just watched The Innkeepers last night.
I dug it. I liked the pace and really enjoyed the two main characters. They were fun to watch together on screen. I agree that the payoff wasn't spectacular, but I still found it adequate and enjoyable. In contrast to the rest of the film, the last 10 - 15 minutes definitely got my heart rate going  |
I think the ending being just "adequate" was my biggest problem because I set my expectations very high and expected more. Might revisit it someday and see if it grows on me.
