new matrix only for those who seen it
i know its not horror but what the fuck
i just seen it and i dont understand how he killed mr smith did anyone get it or was there no reason |
The movie was a big smelly piece of shit. It's best to just forget any questions you have about the movie and forget about the matrix.
|
Alot of people dont understand that part, or the significance of neo dieing at the end, so they call it shitty.
He knew the only way to beat mr.smith was to sacrifice himself, ie. he let himself be infected so as he was hooked into the mainframe machine, they had a lock on the smith program. Then the main computer deletes the smith program (you can see it as it sends a jolt of electricity into neo's body). Thus mr.smith is deleted and all the mr.smiths are destroyed. The movie leaves alot up to interpretation so alot of people dont get it and dont understand it... Watch how many people respond to this thread saying the movie and the whole series is shit... |
the movie would have made a lot more sense if they'd gone with the Ninja Bandit ending

i just finished watching it again and before i read this i came up with a theory not as good as yours but here it is when the orical tells neo that mr smith is hisopisite and the arctect is there to make balence and she is there to make it go out of balence. well what i thought is that she let mr smith take her over because she knew it would throw the matrix off balence when he took over neo, and throwing it out of balence so much as it was would kill him because the matrix needs balence its hard to explain but i think your theory makes more sence any way |
Wow those are both good theories. Matrix Revolutions is probably my favorite movie. I love the matrix series way more than the Lord of the Rings series. I just thought Neo sacrificed all his power to kill him. But I will go with the first one you all proposed.

maby where not supposed to know

This is what makes the trilogy and its ending so good IMO. That its open ended, doesnt give you the typical hollywood ending, and leaves it so open to interpretation. It makes the series stronger as a whole i feal. I think youll find, as i have, the people who trash the ending and the interpretive nature of the third film wanted the matrix to be just another action movie.
While the people who like it and enjoy the trilogy for what it is, are often the people that were into the deeper significance of the movies as a whole....atleast thats been my expierence... |
They should have left it at the first matrix. That movie was awesome. The 2nd a 3rd installments were too much bad cgi, too much bad acting, and too much meaningless conversations that didn't go anywhere. I "understood" the movie completely, just because it makes sense doesn't mean it's good.
I suppose you're all going to see chronicles of Riddick? It should be all the same crap you love from Matrix Revolutions. Vin Diesel is just as bad an actor as Keanu and it looks like half of the damn movie is going to be CGI. |
I thought Pitch Black was cool, but I think i'll just wait for this one to come out on video.

My thoughts on the matrix 3 situation.
So, it's all happened before right? That means that there was another "one"? Maybe. If so, there would have been another smith, or something like him in a similar role? again, maybe... I can't remember exaclty why, but some of the stuff said in the 2nd and 3rd one gave me the distinct impression that when smith tried to "take over" Neo, the two "cancelled eachother out"....ying and yang kinda shit....hard to explain, but I thought of neo and smith kinda as counterparts on the opposite end of the spectrum... Like u said, open to interperitation I guess... |

I don't believe there is a drastic INCREASE in CG in the second two films, the whole fucking series is based of CG.... |

The fight with neo and agent smith was so bad in this one. No pay off I was just hoping for a quick finish. What a waste of money. |

and i dont think that the thrid one had any more cgi then the first two |

Bad use of CG in this movie, that's not why I hate it though.
I hate it because it was a boring piece of shit. The dialogue was typical matrix style but they took out most of the action and replaced it with flying through the air like a fairy bullshit. This is Matrix Revolutions Neo: What is the matrix? Oracle: I believe you already know the answer Neo: Why am I here? Oracle: You will know, when the time is right Neo: "Insert more redundant crap" Oracle: "Insert some vague shitty response" Enter crappy looking CG waves of drones that get blasted away by those mechwarrior rip off type things. I can't stress how boring this part was. Trinity dies *First good part of the movie Neo and Smith have the most drawn out fight scene ever, I never thought a fight could be so boring. Neo dies *last good part of the movie |

I personally thought 2 & 3 could have been compressed into one "a little longer than average" movie that may have been better than both of them....that way they might not have totally run out of ideas for their gunplay scenes - I mean, upside down??? You just knew the bottom got scraped for that one. That's the one part about #3 that annoyed me the most, just left me thinking "whats the point?" It's not as though the bad guys were even making themselves harder to hit that way, or really giving themselves an advantage, they were JUST upside down.
I didn't mind the mechs, although I was left wondering why better preparations werent made in Zion "just in case" I mean, if EMPs can take them down or disable them, you'd think they'd put them in and around their city as well as in their ships in the event that the war they'd all "been waiting for" happened... anyway... Didn't much like the whole dbz style thing, I think that smith and neo had their best fight in the first film... I didn't hate the 2nd and 3rd films, but I have to say that I didn't enjoy either of them half as much as the first one...they just didn't have the "feel". Nice resolution at the end of #3, but then again, I was good to go with the QUESTION MARK resolution in #1... |
Agreed on the upside down fight. That WAS lame, i enjoyed the mech battle scene tho. I thought that was pretty well done, dispite being despised CG:rolleyes:

Preston/Brandt fight from Equilibrium > Neo/Smith fight from Matrix Revolutions
ah, hell, Preston/Brandt fight > Matrix Revolutions period |

All 3 movies sucked. Most people then refute that with "You just didn't get it!" No I got it, and it sucked. |
Why'd it suck?
Because YOU say it did? What are you, about 6 years old, man?? It's called a movie DISCUSSION for a reason. In order for one to adequetly discuss, shouldn't they have a basis or explanation for such statements? I'd be interested in hearing why. I hope you don't take my statements to heart - I wouldn't wanna think you were a stupid DICK or anything... |
You spend millions of dollars on a movie and the plots suck, the acting sucks, the fight scenes suck, boring and dry, not to mention the same lines are reiderated every 10 minutes in all 3 movies.
"Why am I here?" "Because you choose to be." "How will I know when I'll be there?" "You will know, because my foot will be up your ass." |
Quote:
"something is afoot at the circle k" you just cant beat that |
OK Evis...thanks for explaining.
I agree with you on the recycling of lines... I myself didn't much mind the plot of #1 at all - although I DID think it more than slightly resembled "dark city" which IMO was a superior film. I am NOT a fan of the sequels - I guess they musta thought "when plotline fails, confuse 'em". The fight scenes - like I said before, again, the first was the best, the 2nd one had one "ok" fight scene...if that was the one with the asian guy on the tables... I've often said that I think the first film would have had more of an impact if just left without sequels - but, there's always gotta be a cash-in right? I enjoyed the ideas in the animatrix, and thought that some of those short films out-did the last 2 movies. The "2nd renaissance" ones were definately the best thing the guys had done since the first film... |
there is so much cgi in the matrix reloaded and revolutions that they could proly get away with showing it on cartoon network
|
That's the only reason why Keanu was in the movies, because of Bill and Ted. That's all he was known for.
Now he'll be known for bullet-time. What a jack off. And I thought the Animatrix was equally as shitty. The movies are supposed to go along with the movies story lines. Um, no. The only one I could see going along with the movie is that first one with the chick and black dude fighting. Matrix is nothing more than a trend. |
Quote:
He's such a bad actor it's unbelievable, goes to show that any lucky asshole can make it in hollywood. |
keanu reeves is a fart kmocker

And you would think he'd change his tone of voice for at least 3 seconds. But he insists on keeping that boring mono-tone voice. Now if I was Neo, it would be something like this.... "Why am I here?" "Because you chose to be." "Well no shit sherlock, but there has to be a reason, now tell me bitch." "You know the reason." "Obviously not. I wouldn't be asking your black ass if I knew. For someone who's all fuckin high and mighty on the food chain, you sure don't act very intelligent." *Kicks the old bitch in the chest, does various back flips for no apparent reason, then elbow drops the retarded bitch* "You're my bitch now, remember that." Yup, I would've made The Matrix so much better. |
lol the evismatrix coming this fall
the one, evis hacks in to the matrix, saves ziaon and saves the girl all while ass fucking mr smith in the process rated R |
