Your thoughts on Van Helsing

Personally, I loved the movie. Yes, I know, it's action horror, but they did a really good job on the plot (there are some holes, but hey, it's better than most action horror plots), and the actor who plays him (always forget his name) is perfect for the part.

Hugh Jackman.

I loved that movie!! Personally, and I know this isnt a common opinion, but I love action/horror. Hellboy, Underworld, Van Helsing......Just some recent ones, but ahhhhh, But I do love them so

KRUGERKID13 06-05-2004 06:01 PM

The acting was terrible not to mention the casting that guy they got to play dracula had to of been one of the worst ive seen plus it relied on cg for characters that have been being done since the '20's its ridiculous

Rebel Yell 06-05-2004 06:17 PM

Ok. This is my view on it. They took 3 legacies, crumpled them all together, wiped their asses with it, and then put it out there for us to see. In the beginning, the whole black and white scene, I was super excited. I thought it brought back a taste of the classics, and it made me happy. The movie was just kind of horrible from there. Don't get me wrong, I loved the hell out of it. It was super entertaining to me. I liked what they did with frankenstein's monster, because that is how I see him. Not an enemy. Dracula was a bit over the top. His wives were extremely awesome. I thought that the werewolves were done pretty awesome. I think they were just having a blast with it. Overacting and things of that sort. I must say that I still hate CGI to the fullest though. Bah.

Vampenguin 06-05-2004 06:19 PM

I despised Drac's wives. The three best parts of the movie were when they got killed...

Rebel Yell 06-05-2004 06:22 PM

That was the point. You were supposed to hate them, because they are catty little bitches.

hellfire1 06-05-2004 06:24 PM

i agree with everything rebel just said... except for loving the hell out of it... and it was 2 long fucking hours !!!!!!!

Rebel Yell 06-05-2004 06:26 PM

Haha. Yes. Sitting in the theatre that long is the suck. The only movies that I was completely glued to the screen and never thought about the time were the Lord of the Rings movies.

hellfire1 06-05-2004 06:28 PM

true i didn't see the hours go by with the LOTR either... but my ass sure felt it at the end.... ouch ! :p

Rebel Yell 06-05-2004 06:30 PM

Oh man. I know. I even forgot to pee through all three movies. It was like I didn't belong to my body. Then when they get over it is hell on the body. Sore ass, explodey feeling in the bladder, and a whole lot of leg cramps.

hellfire1 06-05-2004 06:36 PM

lol !! oh the leg cramps... they should really put more space in the aisles !!! that actually got me into a fight once... damn french !!!!

bloodygurl02 06-05-2004 08:12 PM

it wasn't as good as i thought it would be but i still liked the movie.

i'll prob buy it on dvd when it comes out but prob as a pre-viewed dvd at blockbuster or something like that
