overly outlandish horror?
I prefer the psych type of horrors more so than the monster type (hannibal lector ones, 1 hour photo, psycho)
majority of people here pretty much like ALL horror but im wondering if there are any that even you guys find to be too strange? Too farfetched i remmeber reading somewhere that since you guys watch horror, in case zombies take over yo uguys would know what to do and what not to do. so im assuming there is some belief in zombies....... ANYWAY.... id say the more farfetched ones would be .. well shit all of them lol. thats why i dont care much for NOES, Jason, all that. |
Movies for me are all about escapism. For the most part anyways. After watching the evening news and reading the daily paper about murders, home invasions, beatings and other real life fun, its good to put on a movie and get lost in the "over the top" action or gore of a "Dead Alive" or "Versus". Not that their aren't times I enjoy a "Silence of the Lambs" type. I guess its all about moods.

i like all horror pretty much, even if they are too farfetched. But some of the ones that i think are extremely farfetched are: Childs Play series, anything that has the words "Jason" and "Goes to Hell" in the title, and Cujo, wait lol

I loved one Hour Photo, poor guy...
|
Im also more of a fan of Psychological suspense/horror too. Its not prone to the same generic rehashed ideas that horror seems subject to...

once again, I only care about quality. There are movies that are totally down to earth, horror movies included, that suck ass. But then there's a movie like Versus that is way out there and it, for lack of a better term, kicks fucking ass.

I like horror films that rely more on character, plot development and atmosphere to get the creeps across, as opposed to the gross-out films. Gore doesn't always mean horror, IMO.

I almost every type of horror movie. Not a fan of dumb horror like 'Army of Darkness'. But I really enjoy a movie that could be true. A movie that is actualy possible to happen in real life. Like the Hannibal movies. Even Scream, mainly because Wes Craven is on my top 5 list and the movie is possible of actualy happening. That and the movie wasn't all that bad.

I'm the same as you, fluff. I love the stuff thats fucks with your mind a bit. The exception too that is NOES, it goes way over the top but I really love those movies!
by the way Vamp- The Mummy movies arent horror, no matter how you look at them. |
I like a good variation of mainsteam crap to good low budget gore shockers from different counties.
