Peeping Tom

10 Rillington Place

28 Days Later

28 Weeks Later

There are a couple hundred recommendations for you.

The Descent

If you want something recent try Heartless (2009) and Salvage (2009)

Ferox13 07-11-2011 02:56 AM

The Pete Walker are a great watch.

As well as Hammer which was already mentioned, Amicus made some great anthology films and theres also Tigon as well (who did Witchfinder General with AIP), The Sorcerers and Blood on Satan's Claw.

But since you find The Wicker Man boring I'm not sure how good any of these will be to you.

If you want some newer stuff then:

Mum and Dad (excellent creepy disfunction family stuff)

Dog Soldiers

Creep

Tony: London Serial Killer

From Hell was awful. I have a big interest in Jack The Ripper but that movie was too much about Johnny Depp and his horrible method of investigation. It just seemed so silly to me.

Absolutely, especially Frightmare!

Fearonsarms 08-02-2011 04:50 AM

Really enjoyed House Of The Long Shadows but I've yet to see Pete Walker's other movies yet-look forward to seeing Frightmare and House Of Mortal Sin. It seems Die Screaming Marianne has mixed reviews though.

House Of The Long Shadows is good but not very representive of Walkers movies in general.

House of Mortal Sin, The Flesh and Blood Show and Frightmare are my faves. Schizo is good too. I also like some of his nonHorror stuff as well (like The Big Switch)..

Fearonsarms 08-03-2011 06:03 AM

Oh I've seen Schizo years ago didnt realise that was a Pete Walker film-I'll check out the others cheers.

leezuki 08-03-2011 12:37 PM

i will have to check those out, i never heard of any of those movies.
